I lived for one year at Magnolia Place townhomes which was a new housing community when I moved in (actually still building when I moved in). At the end of my lease, I left a forwarding address and was never contacted. Three months after I moved, I contacted the management with three letters. I went in person to the office and was told they would resolve it quickly.

Later, I was told that all of the files had been taken to their home office and the accountant would be sending a check. The girl in the office said that no one had received a refund and that I was the only one requesting my money back.

Days turned into weeks and I did not receive a check nor a letter from the management. I turned them into the Better Business Bureau and they sent me a letter after one month stating that they received no response and were closing the case.

It has been 6 months since I moved out of the townhome. In addition to not refunding my deposit, they falsely advertised the townhomes as having tennis courts, putting greens, and a car care center. They never built these items and they were one of the reasons I had moved into the facility to begin with. They are now trying to sell each townhouse instead of leasing them.
