Owners/Officers Herb Hauser/Maia Aron and Dan Pfeffer leave employee wages, expenses and medical premiums unpaid.
Herb and Maia resign, Dan works at a new firm where integrity is their motto - none of their Bio's mention any relation, ownership or work history at Midtown Technologies LLC though they ran the company for about 4 or 5 years.
Employees sue company, obtain judgments and they remain unpaid as of 9/09. Company has refused to answer information subpoenas and did have to appear in front of a judge on an order to show cause to review contempt.
Bad faith strategies are executed to delay employee attempts to collect judgments.
Midtown's attorney offers $1.00 as a pretrial settlement for $4,800 due in wages and other expenses.
Owners state they do not control the company.
Owners set up new company, Midtown assets are assigned to the new company in attempt to evade creditors.
Be very careful when dealing with these individuals - get a personal guarantee in writing at the very least.
Many employees and vendors have been damaged. Statements made to the court that account receivables due to Midtown if collected were to be used to pay a certain ex-employee who is a judgment creditor - clients have stated that payments were made to Midtown - and the judgment creditor remains unpaid as do many many other creditors.

I am a victim ex-employee of the company also. They left us all hanging
with no salary, personal reimbursements, and forwarding address. They shut the
doors and re-opened under Uptown technologies or the uptown group. Even after
winning the settlement in court they still have not paid, this is since August
2008. I am a reasonable man and understand that times are tough but this
company didn’t go bankrupt, they packed up and ran from their debts. They left
me with a pregnant wife and new mortgage after being a good loyal employee. The
bottom line is there are plenty of companies in this industry that are honest
and fair, do your self a favor and choose another one. Dan, Maia, and Herb
turned out to be real worms that screwed their employees; I hope it comes back
to all of you.

Everything that is stated is true, Maia, Herb and Dan are all guilty of this and more.
They also changed employee tax dependencies to make them think they had gotten raises, and used company funds for their own use, and failed to perform many of their basic duties in the company ( accounting ). Maia now runs a non profit organization, and herb hauser has can not be found. These people have ruined the lives of so many people and prior to the separation from Midtown Equities, Herb and Dan took the liberty of downloading digital information from the owners of Midtown Equities, to use for their own benefits.
Dan works for New World Real Estate advisors at 7 time square, and after multiple promises to pay me back wages now refuses to return calls, or answer emails.
Do not do business with these people. In addition to The people Warren Sabloff seems who took over ran Midtown Technologies for Dan Pfeffer was just the type of businessman as the others, made the same promises and when the company went south he also disappeared. Midtown Technologies changed its name to Uptown Technologies, to avoid creditors, and was owned by Warren sabloff and dan pfeffer, the continually missed payroll and when employees finally had enough and quit they did care at all. The company has since been shutdown and now Mr sabloff is a principle at company called Vodyssey group, this is the same company with the same people and working out of the same office space .
