I am a realtor who owns investment properties (houses).

I called Maid in USA (Realty Cleaning USA) after getting an email solicitation from them for Move In/Out Package.

I agreed to pay $215 for a full house cleaning (house was vacant, 1700 SF and the kitchen and bathrooms had been cleaned by tenant when he moved out).  Especially needed was cleaning of blinds, baseboards and vents and a good vacuuming.

I let the crew in and went to the hardware store to get some light bulbs when they called to say they were almost done. When I got to the house, they were packed up and had the check I had put in a drawer.  I pointed out a cobweb, confetti and string on the carpet, a dirty baseboard.   The cleaner bent over and picked up the string, touched the baseboard with a wet cloth, and hit the cobweb with a duster.   I said, "I don't think you got the baseboards or vacuumed; they look like they still need to be done."   He said they had vacuumed and cleaned already and left.

I spent the next three hours cleaning window sills, baseboards, cobwebs and blinds.    I did not have a vacuum cleaner with me.

I went home and called the company -- Maid in America (website says Realty Cleaning USA and lists their physical address as 1200 Beltline Road, Dallas, TX 75248).   Steve answered and said he would send a crew to redo the house the next day.  I said I would be happy if they just came and vacuumed since I had already done everything else.

The next day I had the first showing of the house at 4PM and the realtor feedback was "The house needs to be cleaned".  I think she was referring to the carpet that had wads of hair and other items on it.  I called the cleaning company and left several messages and used their "contact us" form to email as well.  It was clear they had no intension of sending anyone to the house to finish cleaning.

I went back to the house the next day ( I filled my vacuum THREE TIMES.  This was not a situation where the cleaning  company had not "missed a spot" -- they never vacuumed at all.)

Maid in America/Realty Cleaning USA ran to the bank to cash my check.
