Complaint Review: MAIL@NEXTCARD.COM

MAIL@NEXTCARD.COM CREDIT CARD FRAUD *Rebuttal

  • Reported By:
    YONKERS NY
  • Submitted:
    Sat, June 23, 2001
  • Updated:
    Sun, April 28, 2002

MAIL@NEXTCARD.COM ADVERTIZED FOR A CREDIT CARD WITHOUT STATING THAT IT WAS A SECURED CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT. I APPLIED FOR THIS CARD, AND AFTER ALL INFORMATION WAS INPUTED INTO THE SYSTEM, I THEN DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS A SECURED CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT ONLY. I THEN CANCELLED THIS APPLICATION.

NEXT, I WAS SENT A EMAIL STATING THAT I OWED MAIL@NEXTCARD.COM A FEE OF $39.95 BECAUSE MY CREDIT CARD AMOUNT EXCEEDED MY SECURED DEPOSIT AMOUNT. I NEVER SENT ANY MONEY AS A SECURED DEPOSIT TO NEXTCARD.COM, NOR DO I HAVE ANY BALANCE. THEREFORE, I AM REPORTING THIS INCIDENT TO AVOID HAVING ANY BAD CREDIT HISTORY TO BE USED AGAINST ME.

MAIL@NEXTCARD.COM NEVER SENT ME A CREDIT CARD, I NEVER USED THE ACCOUNT THAT WAS SET UP FOR ME DUE TO MY CANCELLATION NOTICE SENT TO MAIL@NEXTCARD.COM.

I BELIEVE THAT THIS COMPANY IS USING THE INTERNET TO FRAUDULENTLY ADVERTISE FOR CREDIT CARDS, THEN CHARGING APPLICANTS FOR CANCELLATION, WHEN THE ACCOUNT HAS NOT HAD ANY ACTIVITY. THIS TRANSACTION IS NULL AND VOID, YET I AM BEING CHARGED A FEE FOR $39.95. THIS IS VERY BAD BUSINESS, AND I CONSIDER THIS TO BE FRAUD. THANK YOU ... JOANNE RICHMOND

I also filled out a NEXTCARD application over the internet, and yes they do practice this Idea of making you believe that you are getting a Unsecured Credit card.

When I finished the online process, only then I was told I will be getting a Secured Credit Card at this unbelievable interest rate abd outrageous acceptance fees, Oh yes I believe If they can do they will. O

h one other thing, the SUPPORTER of NEXTCARD should not be calling someone ignorent, when it is spelled "IGNORANT"

Wow now this person is especially ignorent. First of all it states all over the approval screen that the card is secured and that it has a $300,$500 or $700 sec deposit. Hmmm and then when you go to make an intro payment it says you are paying towards the sec deposit on your secured card. Hmmmm this guy needs to learn how to read.
