Our nightmare started on October 19, 2010, when Mainline Transportation Inc, sent a 24 foot Penske truck, to pick up13000 lbs of household goods (they swore it was 26 ft). Of course not all of our belongings fit in the truck, and they said it would cost us $300 more for them to pick up the rest. But when our neighbor measured the truck and told them it was only 24 ft, they got mad, and said they'd put the rest on the landing. We said no because there was a possibility of rain that night and we didn't want our mattresses, clothes and non-water repellent things get damaged.
They said someone would come to pick up the rest the next day, which turned into 5 days. They only answered our calls if we used a different phone # each time we called. If we called twice on the same number they didn't answer.
They delivered the things in the first load before we got to our new address, but luckily our son was there to take delivery otherwise we may never have seen it again. Anyway they told our son he had to pay for 15000 lbs of goods before they would off load. It only weighed 11,900 lbs (we had them weigh the truck before and after delivery), but they would not refund the overcharge. To this day we have not received a refund, nor compensation for broken and lost items. I guess we should be greatful that we did get most of our things, although the second shipment took over two months to reach us. They never returned our calls when they said someone would, and they always had an excuse for not returning calls when we would get through.
Do Not under any curcumstances do business with these people. Their are very ammenable until they get your money, then they couldn't care less about what you think or do.
