I have been trying to get my refund on a warranty which I purchased along with a vehicle back in October 2003. I was told the warranty would cover repairs for the said vehicle from bumper to bumper, which I found out after needing repairs that it was not true.

I have been trying to get the percentage owed to me since my cancelation on 3/17/04, the rep. was Karlina at Extention 377. I have been making phone calls to both Major cheverolet where I bought the car and the warranty company "choice", there rep.is Barbra at ext.171. To this date the issue is still unresolved.

It is a Power Train Warranty ONLY!!!

The Choice has power train only coverages. If the salesman told you it was a B2B then he lied. In our experience it's that most people aren't paying attention to what is being told to them and they don't read the contract to see what is actually covered that is usually the problem.

refund may be in dealer's account

For such a major transaction as this there will always be paper; this means an actual check rather than a direct transfer of funds from the "choice" company's account.

I suggest calling the "choice" company and requesting the following:

1) processing date of the cancellation
2) timeframe it takes to process a request to cancel
3) the check number
4) date the check was cut and sent
5) ask them to call their Accounts Payable Department to see if the check has been cashed. If they refund the cancellation by check they'll know the dealer received it.

I would assume that you are respecting a refund from your dealer as that is where you purchased the warranty. I like to think of the warranty like a pair of jeans; if you're not happy with it you don't take it back to the manufacturer, you take it back to the retailer and expect your money back from the retailer that you paid. I don't know if this is the case; this is just a suggestion.
