Major world Queens used cars Scam people Long island city, New York
I have been considering trading in my truck for a dodge charger r/t. I started looking
around online and found a charger for a reasonable price. I called major world
and they informed me to come down and that they will test drive my truck and
tell me what they will give me for the trade in.
I decided not to wait and head down to major world. When I showed up and walked
in the trailer I was told to have a seat and someone will help me. One of the
employees said that they needed to run my credit report. I found that kind of
odd, but I said ok. Then they started asking me about my truck and I gave them
all the info. They didn't even hesitate to tell me all they can give me is
$3,000 for the truck even though I looked everywhere and know that I can get
double that. They didn't even bother to look at the truck. So they didn't know the condition either.
I was told that they go off make, model, year and mileage on the vehicle and
that they don't sell any cars with over 100,000 miles because they can't put a guarantee
on them because its the law in New York. When I got home I went straight to
the website and sure enough they had at least 5 cars with over 120000 miles on
them. So goes to tell me that they were planning on ripping me off out of my
truck.
To top it off they didn't even let me look around to see whats out there and
that tells me that they don't want people to see the kind of condition the
vehicles are in. After talking to a few people I found out Im not the only one
they have done this too.
