Sent 29.00 on 1-03-03 they said it should take 10 days . Nothing yet.Try to see what taking so long? Can't get a hold of them. Then I discover the rip off report, and there it was the same company and the same story with everyone. I feel stupid. It's the first time this has happened to me.Also 10 days later a unathorized debit was made from account from 200.00.Sounds fishy! Both trans actions are in dispute ,and hope to be reinbursed. Card was cancled. Watch out.

Don't feel stupid

G. -

You say you feel stupid. Don't. Lots of people are taken in by these scams because they present themselves as legitimate business opportunities. Many people think their newspapers wouldn't run ads for scams, but the fact is the newspapers don't have time to check out every biz opp they run. And I suspect they don't want to; if they didn't run the ads, it would be lost revenue.

Think about it: If people didn't send in their money, these scams wouldn't be able to continue. So you're not alone.

Disputing the charges & cancelling your card is a good first step. Keep on it - the bank is your ally in this & I suspect you'll get your money back.

I would also report the company to the attorneys general in your state & in the state listed on the charge. There are probably a lot of reports already - and if this is one of those scams where the "money making opportunity" involves putting similar ads in other papers, the "company" doesn't really exist in a traditional sense. But reporting it adds to the attorney general's ammunition to fight it in the future, so it might be worth the time. Many states let you file reports to the AG online, so it won't even cost you postage.

And thanks for filing your report here - you've learned from this experience & your report can help alert others, so they can learn from your experience, too.

Good luck.
