While counter staff (including the manager) are properly courteous, the wait staff flubbed up the coffee machine, knocked at 11 pm, uncalled for, with room service for another room, phoned late at night to the wrong room (mine). The "engineer" didn't know how to operate the coffee machine, the air conditioning, or the computer. In desperation, he opened the window, announcing "there is your air conditioning!" When I complained, demanded my money back, the manager offered me a 9# breakfast! Knowing there would be double the cost if I moved to another hotel, I came away early, in order to find peace. The hotel has still not reimbursed me for lost sleep, nor shown any concern for their reputation or commitment to customer satisfaction.

It took many months, but either Orbitz and/or the Mandeville Hotel finally refunded the nights I missed at the hotel due to leaving exhausted. This shows a good faith effort to make good on an expensive disaster, and they should be commended.
