A few months ago I was contacted by Mango, the prepaid debit card I use.  They informed me that they would be changing banks, from Sunrise, to Metropolitain Commercial, and that a new card would be sent.  After a number of notifications of delay, they sent me a new card, which arrived about three weeks before 03/31/18, the date the old account would become inactive.  I tried following the instructions to activate the card, both online and on the phone, but was told teh card was closed.

When I finally was able to get a hold of someone on the phone, I was told to call back after 9:00 am.  I did.  I was told that they "sent me the wrong card", and that a new one would be "expedited".  I asked what would happen if the card did not arrive by the deadline, since the original card was delayed a number of times.  I was guaranteed by "Adrian" that it would be there by that Thursday.  I asked what my recourse would be if it didn't arrive in time, and he said he could close my account and it would take a minimum of 6 weeks to get my refund, minus a number of fees.

He said it would arrive by that Thursday.  It did not.  On Monday, I called back and spoke to someone else.  They guaranteed they were expediting a card and I would get it by Wednesday.  I did not.  I just called this morning (Thursday) and was told theyw ould expedite a card, and I should get it in about 5 business days.  That a) is what I have heard before and b) puts me well after the current card is closed, with no access to my money.  They reiterated that I could close my account and they would mail me a refund in about 6 weeks.

The person I spoke to claims they have done what they are supposed to, by "expediting", although that seems to mean nothing.  Nor were they concerened about their customers not having access to their money.  And when asked if she thought this was an OK way to treat customers, she said "yes".  And of course, asked if there was anything else she could do to help me...possibly get me the card you were supposed to send me a month ago?

I have gotten to the point where I am convinced this is a scam, and that no card is coming.  I encourage anyone reading this to either reconsider signing up for a card, or pulling all funds from them.  At best, they are guilty of rediculously horrible customer servie.  At worst, they are thiefs.
