We live by the beach and always keep quarters in our cars for parking meters. About 6 months ago, 2 rolls of quarters were stolen out of my wifes car while it was in for service. We reported the problem but it was only $40.00 so we just wrote it off. Recently our sons car was in for maintenance and his iPod was stolen from his glove box.

I called the service manager immediately after returning home and he said he would contact me by the end of the day after he spoke with the owner. I didn't here anything from him so the next day I wrote Toyota Corporate asking them if it could this be investigated. They opened a case but did not answer my question.

They said the Customer Relations Manager will contact me by the end of the business day Friday. In the event I did not receive contact from the dealership by this date, please contact them with a file number they provided. The Customer Relations Manager didn't contact me so I responded to Corporate again and and the said I would need to work it out with the dealership.

I also tried the BBB. I submitted my complaint and received a confirmation e-mail that they received my complaint. After not hearing anything for a month, I called to follow up and was told there was no complaint.

The problems you see at Toyota Dealerships all over the country is a reflection of Toyota Corporation, their CEO, and the way that Toyota does business and has done business for many years. Toyota is not the company that we have been lead to believe. Their product is average, not great. But what Toyota does have is a Great Advertising Agency that has been successful in manipulating the publlic into believing things that are just not true.

Discrimination and a major problem with their engines (sludge problem) are just two examples of what is REALLY taking place at Toyota. They have the money to cover these problems up, but the public is now starting to speak out. We must continue bombarding the News Staions with all of the facts and we must place small display ads in our local Newspapers that simply say this: GO TO ripoffreport.com and type in TOYOTA!

This small, simple, inexpensive, ad will cost the Dealerships in your town THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dollars and at the same time, it will raise awareness to the problems that Mr. Jim Press, Toyota's CEO, does not care about. It will also create NEGATIVE OPINIONS that will drive Toyota's Stock down to its real worth, about $75 to $85 per share. Toyota's stock is overvalued and we the consumer can force it to that lower price by this time next year.

Remember, Toyota is a PUBLICLY HELD COMPANY. The PUBLIC has the right to know what is REALLY going on. The Media relies on advertising dollars for their existence, so do not give up if the Media does not respond.

One last thing: To everyone who Posted a complaint on this website, print a copy of your complaint and mail it to all the News Stations in your town and send a copy to Toyota's CEO. His address is: Toyota Corporation 19001 South Western Ave. Dept. WC 11 Torrance, Ca 90501 Attn: Jim Press, CEO
