Complaint Review: Mann Bracken And GE Money

I see many reports here reguarding something called Mann Bracken. They have reportedly bought a debt from GE Money Bank. I had sent them all proof and photos of a Bum Carpet Job in my home[several years ago]. I tried for 2 + yrs to come to some settlement with GE Money. They also were given long letter, proofs, and pictures of the carpet quality, damages to fresh painted rooms and wood in home, and sad saggy ripped carpet. There was never any contract and the "installers" or....winos they sent [ merchants Carpet Spectrum], never even left any docs to prove the install ever occurred. It was I who complained to no avail of the mess and damages.

We were told by in home salesman , and newspaper ads "No Payments & No Interest for 1 year" W R O N G !! I paid the first 3 months payments in excess. By the time I had argued with all concerned, the Yr was up, and I puposely directed the parties to a paragraph on the back of the statement referencing CC purchases with in 50 mies of home not being legal if you cannot get the merchants to do right by their work. The only thing correct about this carpet was the nearly right color.

By the time a yr had passed (we closed the account ourselves 5,000 limit), what started as 1500.00 had grown to 3500.00 or more. Aside from the no pay no interest for a yr being a lie, the account has been sold or pawned to 3 or 4 collections agencies. MANN BRACKEN calls us daily, never leaves messages anymore, and calls atleast twice on Sundays. For real. I have written and told them Stop Calling and the harrassment goes on and on. SOmetimes 9:00 pm or later at night. I have saved proof of these calls and weird times.

I offered a fair settlement to the GE Money people and they always refused, despite the bad carpet and install. The BBB simply states on the merchant's report that Carpet Spectrum resolved the complaints. All they did was curse and scream. But then....They had their money already. I think that after all the years and the proof that Mann Bracken needs to peddle their peaches somewhere else. Have a good day & Hallelujah for this website Rip Off Reports ...
