The day before our scheduled load, the driver tried to move up the pick-up date and "come by this afternoon." When they did arrive, they had the completely wrong estimate/quote, based on which the company threatened to charge us extra (we ended up paying extra to just get it over with) despite the fact that we signed an updated quote and left multiple messages trying to further update it. The company put a hole in our wall during the load. They misjudged the items we had and had to leave with the shuttle, unload the shuttle into the trailer, and come back with the shuttle, adding hours to the pickup.
The owner's cell phone was disconnected and it was virtually impossible to get ahold of anyone regarding our load--we were shuffled around to many different associates, We repeatedly left unreturned voicemails/calls.
They company has lied to us many times and is extraordinarly disorganized. They made the load process pretty much as stressful as it could possibly be. I wish we had rented a UHaul and driven our goods ourselves.Mansimran Singh Kahlon Gainesville Virginia

I am the owner and operator of Gainesville Transport here in Gainesville, Virginia. I wanted to first of all repudiate 100% of the claims that you have made in your review report. Gainesville Transport leases its trucks to other companies to haul produce, frozen goods, dry goods, and other general freight across country. We operate 18-wheeler semi tractor-trailers and do not carry any household items or move anyone locally. We are not movers in any capacity.
YOUR WAY OF WRITING THE REPORT- You keep on saying the company's name and my name and then mention my phone number. All of which are available online. You never mention the date of any of these interactions or date of business conducted. YOU FAILED to mention you company's name, on this note- my company does not do business with any small businesses directly, we only deal via brokers or dispatchers. So that disproves any relation of my company to your report.
Since the beginning of our company in 2014, we have been leased to other trucking dispatch companies so no one from our company has ever dispatched any loads, shipment or freight directly.
Now I will go down the list of your accusations to Gainesville Transport, which is a very reputable company that is run with ethics and morals all around and happens to be my entrepreneaurial startup.
1. We definitely DO NOT leave anyone stranded at all. We actually do not transport people so that is practically not possible. But even on rules of business, we work together with every client company leasing company, and warehouse till the end without a doubt!
2. We are completely licensed to operate and do business. We are filed and in good standing with the Virginia SEC (Corporation Commission). Also, we are not a business with any physical location, direct customer or retail contact, therefore there are no other permits or licenses that we need from either the state or the county.
3. Drivers and dispatchers alwasy try to scheduled and reschedule appointments to make their times work. This is valid in any industry, people will call you or anyone to make times work out and ask you to work with them, it is the real world and this is the nature of any business.
4. In our line of business, drivers never deal with any estimates or quotes, this is why I said I believe you are either mistaken as to which company you are reporting on. Our drivers simply pick up loads and deliver them.
5. Our rates/prices are on a rate confirmation sheet previously signed and reconfirmed BEFORE a driver is dispatched to go to pick up any load. Therefore, you having to pay extra at any point of time without prior knowlegde is completely false.
6. If at any point of time, there was any "hole in the wall" at any warehouse our trucks caused, we provide insurance paperwork and the warehouse can get it fixed. BY THE WAY, there was no claim filed or any driver interaction with any such problem in 2016.
7.. Our tractors and trailers are the only equipment we use, so using any kind of shuttle at any point of time is also false. We do not haul shuttles or use any type of shuttles.
8. The phone number for the company has never been disconnected or out of service at ANY point of time. ALSO, we DO NOT have any number of associates to "shuffle you around". I am the sole owner and I am the only one anyone has to deal with.
9. Your claim of my company being disorganized is COMPLETELY FALSE and has no merit.
10. We do not haul anything that can or should be hauled in a "u-Haul". If that is the type of freight you have, you have proven that you did not deal with Gainesville Transport from Gainesville, VA.
