World Ventures is immoral, unethical, rude, and disrespectful.  I called on February 4th to cancel my membership.  As I told the representative, I have my next two years' trips planned and it would not make sense to pay over 400$ over those two years when I will not be using the service.

I told them I liked the product and would consider purchasing again someday.  I was told that in order to cancel, I would need to follow up with an email, and that I would recieve a confirmation email within 24 to 72 business hours.  February 10th, I called to find out why I hadn't recieved any emails yet.  I spoke with "vincent", the "account manager" this time, and he told me he needed to "rescind" the previous representative's statement and that the company was growing to fast to keep up with the demand on the department that handles the email requests.  (How can they be growing so fast and have so many people calling to cancel?).

Instead of appologizing for my experience, I was given another sales pitch about how the company is growing to 9 countries, etc.  He told me that there was no confirmation number, nor did he know when I would get an email, but that I could "trust him" that I would not be billed anymore.  He stated that I could use his name if I ever got billed again.  I told him that I've been told several different things by this time, and I wanted an email, letter, or confirmation number as I was not willing to take anyone's word for it when money is being automatically taken from my account each month.

I told vincent that I was dissapointed in my experience now, that I originally liked the products but the customer service I've recieved has made me want to tell others about my bad experience.  Vincent proceeded to tell me how I should have put that much effort into my business and maybe I would have been successful.  At this point, I was so disgusted that I hung up the phone.

As another post states, World Ventures has a great business idea, but the company is obviously run by immoral, disrespectful people.  I experienced similar things at events, being told about all these people that have made money but everyone I meet is "new".  I am  now determined to spread the word about how terrible this company is, to try and stop anyone that I can from falling into the same fate.  BEWARE!!!

I love how the rebuttal is written by a competitor as he tries to recruit for his own MLM company.  At least World Ventures gives you an income disclosure, what about your company?

MLM is work, you will find complaints for AVON, Amway, Melaleuca, Herbalife etc, etc.

If you aren't interested in treating your business as a business then guess what, you will FAIL!

I'd like to see someone open a restaurant and then decide they will only show up for 3 hours a week and expect to become a millionaire.  duh!!

Sucks that the original poster was treated poorly by customer service but customer service is a problem for every company.  Try calling your wireless company and see what you get on the other end.

You cannot judge a company by the people answering their phones and say they are a scam, that's just ridiculous.

If you aren't willing to hustle then don't get involved in network marketing cut and dry!!

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with World Ventures.  I was thinking about doing World Ventures until I saw their income disclosure statement.

Here is a copy (and you can click to see it on their server):

Just by reading the income disclosure, you can see that only 19.82% of the company earned a commission.  This means that 80.18% of the Company LOST MONEY.

I just couldn't get involved with a business like that, or a business that needed 60 people (30 on the right and 30 on the left) for me to see income.

I decided on a much different company with a much better compensation plan.

If you are still interested in Network Marketing, I suggest you watch the video below:

I just want to respond to your frustration with trying to cancel your membership. While I do not want to minimize any of your frustration, be willing to see this frustration objectively and not through the eyes of disillusionment which so often follow network marketing companies. I've had inadequate customer service from a million different places at a million different times. No company corners the market on perfect employees. That is just part of living in an imperfect world. Do you file a ripoff report every time you get bad customer service? Just take a minute and be objective.

I, like most hard-working people, have been shown different opportunities many times. And I will be the first to agree that a lot of misinformation has been disseminated, which is why I think people are so skeptical. I, too, have always been very skeptical about network marketing opportunities. For the record, I am not new to World Ventures (been a member for 2.5 yrs) and I am not currently making any money. So, I have absolutely nothing to gain financially here. I do travel though, have saved money on my travel, and absolutely love the training I have received. It has made me a better person and a better teacher (my day job). I will stand by Marc Accetta's training until the day I die because I know how my life has changed.

I am committed to this company because I have come to the realization that network marketing is a viable means of generating residual income, especially for people in fixed income professions like teaching. Personally, I have not made time to build this business. I am not a good time manager and struggle with lack of follow through. I have also had to deal with my fears of rejection and overcoming how I feel about what others will think. But, I press on towards the goal daily with no regrets. I keep getting better and better. The problem with most people is that they are so afraid that they are getting ripped off that they don't stick around long enough to grow and learn what it takes to be successful. Will some people make money quickly? Sure they will. But, many of the stories I have heard from the most successful people in World Ventures have been from the people who stayed the course. I am sure at this point that you're thinking I am just saying what I have been taught to say. But, you haven't been where I have been and heard what I have heard.

World Ventures has never promised to make me an instant millionaire. World Ventures has never promised that I will make a ton of money with no time and effort invested. World Ventures has simply promised me that they can save me money on travel, teach me how to be a better leader, and  teach me how to build residual income. They have more than delivered in all these areas. I couldn't be more satisfied. So, I am just asking you to be objective and not allow a negative customer service experience to foster a bias towards network marketing.
