I received seperate phone calls from two daughters who were upset because they received a phone call stating that I was going to be arrested by end of the day. The first daughter received a phone call from someone saying that they needed to reach me immediately because an arrest warrant had been put out for me.

The second daughter received a phone call from her half-sister in Georgia saying that someone called her looking for me and told her that I was going to be arrested unless she told her where I was. After that call, the first daughter called her step-mom and was told that they had been calling her (step-mom) relentlessly for weeks. This is my EX husband's wife that they are calling. We are not close and it is none of their business anyway.

Now I was pissed off so I called the number that they left, and was told that her name was Maria Martinez, and that she was from the State of Oregon Revenue Dept.  She said that a collection had reached her desk and that she either needed to collect $600 or they were going to come to my work and arrest me on the spot. I asked what for? She said they had me on camera cashing a bad check back in 2007. I told her that I had never done that and she told me the name of the company was Ace Cash Payday Loans.

I told her that I had taken out a loan, and paid it off. I told her that I had proof of the payoff but she insisted on trying to collect $600 plus attorneys fees of $2,000 and more. I told her that I had already paid that loan off and that I was a present day customer as well and they would not do business with me if I owed them money. She continued by trying to tell me what was going to happen to me when they arrested me, making it sound like I was guilty of 'Larseny, Conspiracy to pass bad checks, and don't rememeber what the third charge was, but I told her that I wasn't paying her anything because I was innocent.

She ended the phone call by telling me to be careful driving home because I was going to be pulled over and arrested. When I hung up, I saw that she was calling from a Texas phone number! I was infuriated that she would call my ex's family down in Georgia when I had been in Oregon since 1986. I was upset that she called my daughters at work threatening them and getting them upset  because she told them that I was going to be arrested. To add to that, she argued with me like she thought I was a criminal.

How dare these people make up stories thinking that you will pay them instead of listening to reason. As soon as I saw where the call came from, I knew that it was a scam, so I called it back to see if they answered 'State of Oregon'. The first call was answered by 'Pre-trial Litigations' and I hung up. The next day I called and they answered 'Financial Crimes Division', and I hung up again. I don't know the name of the company, I only have the phone number, but it is harassment to keep calling family when my number is easy to obtain.
