MARIA TIMMERMAN ripoff A PUPPY MILL, SHE SELLS SICK DOGS, HAS MANY BREEDS AND MY PUP DIED OF PARVO CLAYTON New York
I bought a puppy from Maria thinking this would be a great time in my life, boy was I wrong. I knew something was not right when I picked him up; the smell was horrid. She only let me in the front door, and when asked if I could use her restroom as I drove 4 hours to get this puppy, she said no. This place she calls home is worse than any puppy mill. She is a mill, I am sure of that, the filth, the poop, the stink almost made my eyes water.
She brought out the pup, I asked to see the parents she said they were not here.
I paid her half the money before, and this day I paid her in full. Then I took this puppy, a shihtzu that really looked more like a schnauzer. His ears had a bad odor, crusty around his eyes, and dried poop on his poor little behind. I wanted to call ASPCA right then, but I decided to get this guy OUT of this mess.
I went home, bathed him, and hoped he would be all right. He was not. At the vet we realized something was terribly wrong by his actions and his tests. He went down hill all night, the next day he died.
I was beside myself with grief. I tried to call Maria, no answer. I emailed her, no anwer, I tried this for over 4 weeks, and nothing.
I had my attorney send her a letter, still no reply. She sold me a sick pup, in horrid conditions, and when the poor little guy died, she did not care, she has her money.
DO NOT buy from Maria Timmerman in New York.. PUPPY MILL FOR SURE.. I am calling the aspca on her as my last resort, maybe this will at least keep some poor fool from going through what I did. I just moved from New York to Chicago or I would be on her door step, I still may !!!
I learned one thing - check out where you buy from. I should have known, she has a website that is a bit on the strange side, my fault too for not checking up on her.

I am a Clayton resident. The puppy mill owner, Marie, is not a bad person.. Sure, she may be breeding animals, which aren't in an ideal inviroment, but she really believes she is doing the right thing, to make some extra money ! If you think she is ripping people off, just drive by her home on County Rt 3, Clayton,NY and take a look at her home. Stop and knock on her door and ask to talk to her. Go in and sit down and have a coffee with her. You will notice right away, she is really caring person.
Sure, her home, might not be clean and a little smelly, but what do you expect, raising all kind of animmals, in her home. Dogs, turkey, chickens and some other poultry. Give this woman a break ! With the economy , the way it is, people have to do what it takes, to make ends meet ! Just my thought !

Seems to me that you are both back yard breeders duking it out.
I understand that back yard breeders don't think they're doing anything wrong, but it's wrong, nonetheless.
Can anybody dispute any of the facts I stated above?
I didn't think so...
Note to Editor: if you want to verify that I'm not Sherry, or anybody else involved here, feel free. I'm just taking the opportunity to educate the public about back yard breeders.

This is another false posting from Sherry, the jealous wannabe breeder who just won't quit harrasing me for whatever reasons??? We don't know each other, yet she makes up these posts from fictitious figments of her wild imagination. I have proof of all her slander and lies. This person should not even be allowed to own a dog, nevermind breeding them. I will pray for her getting some help in spite of her obvious malice.

If you only breed Yorkies and Maltese, where did the Pug (referenced above) come from?
There is NO SUCH thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. They are the runts of the litters.
AKC certification really doesn't mean that much anymore. Sad but true...
Reputable breeders do NOT have websites.
Reputable breeders make you JUMP THROUGH HOOPS to purchase a dog from them. EXTENSIVE interviews and home visits. If anybody has ever tried to adopt a rescue and think jumping through THOSE hoops was bad, that's NOTHING compared to what a reputable breeder will put you through!
Reputable breeders do not even BREED their dogs unless deposits are taken in advance. Anybody purchasing from a reputable breeder KNOWS that there will be a loooooong wait.
Reputable breeders will not sell their dogs without a spay/neuter contract (unless EXTENSIVE research is done before - to improve the integrity of the line and to reduce the chance of their bloodlines being compromised).
I might add, in the State of NY, you are required to provide the buyer with a print version of "The New York State Lemon Laws for Dogs and Cats". The "contract" on this website is woefully lacking a LOT of information that must be provided.
I don't know any of the people posting here, but this just sounds like another BYB to me (back yard breeder).

Maria Timmerman has finally gotten caught. I bought a pup from her last year, it died within one week, and she will NOT answer my emails or phone messages. I should have know because I had heard she was bad, and her home was not in good condition so I bought the puppy anyway to get it out of the horrible surroundings. BE aware of this person, she is a scam

I am one of Maria's people who adopted a pup from her two years ago. I am distraught about all these things I'm reading. I live six hours from her,and thought it would be a great idea to visit my pup before the actual delivery. It was a big event for myself and my fiancee and so we planned a weekend getaway. When we arrived at the Timmerman home, Maria was at the bakery buying desserts for our arrival, So her husband invited us in to their spacios living room. I never received as many kisses (from their dogs, or children and this lovely couple refer to them)in my life!!!We had four of her shih-tzu's all over us.I have never met such friendly and well-taken care of dogs.It troubles me as i know for a FACT from firsthand experience that these are decent God-fearing people who sincerly love all their animals.
My vet was impressed with the excellent health of our puppy, which we named "Skyler", and should we ever decide to get another pup, it will certainly come from Maria Timmerman.

In referance to the above posting. Puppypuddles is a small family owned company who's professionalism and customer satisfaction far exceeds the posting above. We produce only a few litters per year and are more than happy to invite adoptees to our home to disprove the false allegations of this posting. I maintain accurate recordkeeping as per AKC standards and not only have never sold to a "Benny" but have NEVER sold to anyone from Chicago either. If "Benny" does indeed exist, sign your last name and your address so I can refer to my records.

I am a friend of Maria's and I have been to her home many times. Her home did not stink and was not filled with filth. I became Maria's friend after I purchased a beautiful Yorkie from her 3yrs ago. Since then I have been to her home numerous times. The post above is fake! It was written by Sherry Andrews and Sherry wrote it after people found out her ethics and reputation was not as she claimed them to be. She is mad and out to destroy Maria and other breeders at all costs. There is a saved email in which Sherry says that she is going to be coming on Rip Off Report and fileing a false complaint about Maria due to the complaints about herself. Sherry wants you to believe she never made up lies on the bb site nor on here and again this is not true. She is now telling people that emails that have been posted here on Rip Off that were suppose to be from her are edited.
Again, she has lied. She said that people changed the IP in the headers to make them look like she did them. Again, she has lied. You can NOT change the IP address in an email if you forward the orginal email as an attachment to someone.
This just can NOT be done. YES if someone copies and pastes an emails header to you, they can change it. But if someone forwards the orginal email to you as an attachment the IP can't be changed. So, ask these people who posted these emails for the email to be forwarded to you as an attachment if you want real proof.
