Complaint Review: Mariachi Toritos de San Antonio Tejas

I hired Mr. Flores and his band, Mariachi Toritos de San Antonio, Tejas, to perform at my father's wedding. The day of the event was set for August 26, 2017.  Unfortuntely, Hurricane Harvey was in the area. The day before, Mr. Flores called me and assured me he would be able to find replacement musicians for the event. About 3 hours before the event, Mr. Flores called me and told me he would be cancelling the booking due to musicians not showing up. I understood and was able to find an alternate group to work the event.

In the following days and weeks, Mr. Flores assured me he would give me a full refund for the deposit, since it was his cancellation, not mine. However, after weeks of calls and exchanging of text messages, still assuring me he would refund my deposit, he has yet to fulfill the refund either by mail or by meeting together.  I have become very frustrated with his reassurances of my refund, and his lack of urgency to fulfill this request to this day. I am asking for the full refund of my deposit per our contract.
