Marine Midland Management hired the law firm of Cohen & Slamowitz to collect a debt accrued by me in the amount they indicated as $3352.66 from FCNB (Speigal)
My records indicated that my balance due was $1458.32 with a last payment made to them back in 2001.

I sent a letter complaining about fraudulent interest rates etc but never heard from them again until recently from the afore-mentioned law firm which then executed a judgment against me in the above amount indicated. I now have to pool all of my bank records from my previous banker to see if I can ascertain the true amount but with the Office of marshal indicating that they will shortly institute garnishment of my pay check, I have since sent them a letter indicating my intent to challenge them as their records are not true.

If they have a money judgement

Your report seems to indicate that they have obtained a money judgement against you - which means that they went to court and sued you.

It may be a tad late to fight the amount of the debt - that should have been done in court.

I would check all the court records to see what was exactly done and what the specific judgement against you is.

If they are indicating a garnishment, that would be an enforcement order from the court that awarded them the judgement.

Seems to me you should have been served so that you had a choice to attend the court proceedings.
