3 months ago a complaint was made to Lisa Simms Hayle owner of Marion B Real Estate about leaks in the house water coming up through the tiles jn every room, mold starting to form, sewer water smell, outside water steady coming out of the slab, obvious plumbing issues, we are told someone will come out all of end of July which we paid July rent on the 2nd of July via money order. We withheld our rent for August and September as there was 8 inches of water near fromt door, tiles cracked and water came up in middle of night and I slipped and landed flat on my back injuring it the first week of September. Finally my wife sent an email stating we are goimg to tje news as we know an investigative reporter and also calling the city inspector and health department. All of a sudden we are told that the plumber would be in touch, 2 days later the city marshal serves me with an eviction notice stating we owe July, August and September rent, then the plumber comes and tells us that the house is inhabitable and we will get sick if we continie to stay there, we had np other place to go, luckily last week a friend of ours has a property and it opened up for us to rent, but the damage to our property and health has already been done, there is over $ 10,000.00 worth of damage to property, medical bills, medicine, and moving costs, and all I get from Lisa Simms Hayle when I made a settlement offer is " I have not been authorized to dispurse funds by the home owner " and she doeant think we will go through with legal action, we already habe it in play to sue her as well as get fined by the health department and we.are waiting to hear back from our investigative reporter connection as well as the homeowners association. To boot we have opened mail oj accident that is addressed to the home owner and it says he owes over $ 150,000.00 in back taxes on the home; so we would have been likely kicked out in a few months. We had several issues with repairs needed and it always took a long time.to get done.
