Complaint Review: Marites Torres

Marites Garcia Torres and Juan Torres Guzman have hurt me and my family financially with an online con. It took me several months to find out their real names but thanks to a reverse search on a picture I found out they are a Filipino woman and a Puerto Rican man that have swindled and cheated a lot of people.

I’m unemployed and I started looking online for a part-time job. Marites used the name Victoria Torres to post jobs from her company be free international. She is on LinkedIn. We had a lot of chats and skype calls about a program that supposedly can make you anywhere from $1000 to $10000 on the first month depending on your commitment. I was referred to other members of the program Belle Garcia, Nilda Torres, Colette Torres, Betty Uy and Juan Torres to get references from them. Victoria told me some were family members of hers and others were professional people in the US and Philippines. I was convinced and invested the $750 she was asking for but after 6 months passed by I didn’t receive one penny from be free international. She also promised I would get a brand new iPhone X just for signing up but that never arrived. The tracking number she gave me was for a delivery in North Carolina.

I’m now convinced that all the people I talked to were fictitious as part of their con. I’ve retained an attorney and we are collecting as much information as we can about other victims.
