I moved to Pensacola in August 2009. I got a room for a month at Extended Stay America 809 Bloodworth Lane Pensacola Florida 32504. 850-473-9323. After I moved to an aprtment Extended Stay America made an unauthorized charged my debit card that caused my checking account to be overdrawn. I was never notified of this unauthorized charge by Extended Stay America so I could put extra money in the accont. After this happened I contacted the Hotel to find out why they charged my debit card. I was told that there was a small bath matt missing from the hotel room and that is what the almost $100.00 fee was for. As previously stated I spent a month at the Hotel and one evening I spilled a large container of Red Hawian Punch I use the small matt to clean it up. Naturally the matt was stained by the Hawian punch. I informed the person at the front desk what had happened and that the towel-matt was stained and most likely ruined. I even washed the matt in the Hotel laundry but it did not come clean. I offered to pay for the matt or replace it before I cheked out, and I was told not to worry about it. I told the front desk clerk that I would was it with some Clorox and bring it back as I worked just down the street no more than 3 blocks from the Hotel. However; before I had time to wash the small matt with clorox and return it the Hotel charged me almost $100.00 which caused my checking account to overdraft and the bank Sn Trust charged me $222.22 for all the fees. This is not right and should be stopped. I would also like to submitt a report on Sun Trust Bank if that's OK.
