Complaint Review: Mark Hoverson Coastal Synergy Group

I found this website by searching for information about Mark Hoverson. I have been doing my research prior to investing in any sought of coaching program.  I have watched Mark's videos on youtube, viddler, and both live and recorded webinars too.

After considering my options I had enough confidence to at least invest 1 dollar and try his new coaching club.

After joining I was then able to communicate with Mark by email as well as recently in person at a marketing event in Florida. (my review of the program can be found at (((Redacted)))

My experience with Mark has been excellent.  He has made himself available to me and while I can't make any comments about coastal synergy and I can state with confidence that I believe  Mark to be a honest person who delivers a lot of value in his program.  I also witnessed first hand his interaction with his GRN team (I am not in the GRN program but was able to get a seat and listen during a Florida marketing meeting) and was very impressed with the level of training that was being taught.

Finally, I never had any issue with income claims or opportunity exagerations. In my honest opinion, Mark Hoverson is the real deal and a geniune caring person who would not make false claims, refuse assistance or lie about his success. 

I felt compelled to share my feelings and hopefully shed some light of this suubject from my vantage point.

What are your deepest INTENTIONS at the core of who you are? Are living to fullfill those intentions in your everyday life? Are you being driven to accomplish those foundational intentions or are you floating down a river of EXPECTATION that is taking you anywhere it ends up at? I ask you these questions as I know that many people including myself at times tend to get off course towards my true intentions in life. It is easy to find yourself wondering how you got to where you are today or becoming depressed or feeling loss because of your EXPECTATIONS! You know...like where you felt you should be at a particular moment doesn't line up with where you are at, at the present time and or you find yourself in circumstances that seem to have crushed your goals, dreams, and EXPECTATIONS.

It is very important that you evaluate what your INTENTIONS are for your life. EXPECTATIONS come and go and often change. Expectations are like shooting an arrow at a target...sometimes you hit them and sometimes you don't. If that is all you have then it will be easy for you to lose your focus on why and who you are in your life.

INTENTIONS on the other hand are more like a very well deeply rooted foundation of purpose and meaning in your life. A foundation is strong enough to face all kinds of storms. If what you have built on it gets destroyed you can always rebuild on it because the foundation rarely gets shifted or destroyed when everything else does. Therefore you can start again...not start over-start again...get back up and keep moving when you have a deep and strong foundation to base your life and your decisions on.

So, again what are YOUR INTENTIONS? Live on purpose and live in the quality of your intentions and you will always be ready to face every blessing, storm, and challenge that life brings your way. You deserve to be free of guilt,shame,past hurts,missed goals,scewed vision,and lack thoughts, and especially just floating down a river of expectation that can end up anywhere at all and where you never intended to be in the first place.

INTEND to create a great day and INTEND to love every step in the process knowing that no matter what comes or goes you are staying the course of your intended dreams...what ever they may be.

Greetings again, this is Mark Hoverson. A couple more sidenotes about this interesting post from the anonymous 'Tony' from 'Dallas'.

First, he states I 'lied' about my success with the Coastal Synergy Group. In June of 2007, at a Las Vegas banquet of about 400 people, the members from within Coastal Synergy Group nominated myself and 3 others for the 'Cha-Ching Award', which goes to the person who well....figure it out (I didn't win, Annette did...good for her). Also, I am one of only 3 total people within Synergy to date (and I think the current numbers are around 500-600 members) to be awarded the Double High-Five Club (which is an award Synergy gives to people who sign up at least 10 people in one month to their Website System). Thus, if 'Tony' has a calculator, 3 divided by 600 is .005, which means my success is in the top .5% of Synergy. This is public stuff, hundreds of witnesses and whatnot.

Second, 'Tony' states I didn't tell him about the cost of doing business (website fees, etc.), but if anyone goes to my website, under my frequently asked questions, I have directions to the sign-up page of the Synergy site, which gives the exact prices. Check it out at www.4000everyweek.com I also have links directly to where we purchase leads, so everyone knows exactly how much the business is going to cost them www.csgprospects.com By the way, 50 leads for $189 is consistently producing about 1-2 sales for my teammates.

I could mention a few other comedic errors of 'Tony's' post, but I've spent enough time on this already. Just notice, that 'Tony's' complaint against me comes at the exact same time a few other twilight-zone type complaints have come against the Synergy group. And he not only attempts to discredit me (one of the top earners), but also subtly tries to discredit Annette (another top earner), and Tina (another leader). Although I admire Tony's slyness in writing a complaint that seems genuine (with real names, and website costs and everything), this is so clearly an act from someone bored and bitter that it's hard to keep from smiling. I also agree that it's unfortunate to find you've been dealing with someone who is not operating their business with integrity, but that is exactly the reason that the CSG (Coastal Synergy Group) exists...to offer exceptional training and support even if you have a director who quits.
In addition to many live training sessions, there are so many hours of recorded trainings by leaders in our group that you could never have enough hours in the day to listen to them all!
It's possible that you didn't know where to find this information but a call into one of the Q&A or member support calls could have quickly pointed him in the right direction.


Tony, you saw the opportunity for yourself. No business is perfect and there will always be personal challenges. You have your package. I assume that you have not completed your training sales yet. I'd recommend that you find another director who would be happy to work with you, particularly since Mark states that you are not part of his team. Get your site up (it is a temporary expense) and get to work instead of spending time and energy here. You'll hear this saying in this business.... "Your income can only grow to the extent that you do." We all experience this as we become successful.


I've been working my business for a year and a half and have had my share of ups and down. I am extremely grateful for the training and support of the CSG leaders. I've been averaging $4-7K per month in profits for several months now. Even though my goals are higher, I'm earning more than my previous job for half the hours and never even leave the house. If I can do this, you can do the same. Move beyond your rough start...let it go, then get to work!

This is Mark Hoverson. A couple notes about this complaint. #1- Annette Kennedy is not my Director. And if she was, and somehow this 'Tony' did speak with her, she would be an excellent coach and mentor to him. #2- I have no 'Tony from Dallas' anywhere on my team. It's interesting a website like this can legally/publically print accusatory remarks from a 'Tony' in 'Dallas' with no contact information at all (although Ripoff Report is attempting to protect the consumer, stuff like this makes me wonder how vigilant they really are about the truth). Most likely, this is a competitor from another business opportunity who is attempting to deflect business from me and tarnish Coastal's reputation (envy is a sneaky thing). Hi Tony!

I'm so very sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience. First off, you are absolutely correct you should have understood exactly the costs of running your business BEFORE you purchased your membership, and you should have understood what training your director was able to provide to you personally, outside of the system!

Yes, you are right- the back office IS extensive. You should have been able to tap into your director and ALSO the extensive support and training calls offered by the Coastal Synergy Group. That system is truly awesome in its detail and depth. But you have to be taught how to use it! Its simple, but I find most people do need some guidance to learn how to find the answers they are looking for. There is MAC system training on alternate tuesday nights AND a member support call where you can ask questions daily.

Certainly, your director should have told you about that and helped you if you could not find answers there! What I do not understand- how when you were in your due diligence phase, going through the CSG websites and system how it is you were not aware of the costs of running your business? Every business has operating costs- the beauty of ours is the MAC is set up on an affiliate. Mine actually EARNS me money every month now- so its an additional source of revenue 10 months into my business, not an expense!

I also do not understand, how after your 7 day online training you were (sounds like?) left to figure out the fine details on your own? Personally, I go through the system with people once they understand the basics. I'm also available to them by phone and email and will answer questions within a reasonalbe time frame. I know that not all directors are created equal, it sounds to me like you had a different expectation then could be met.

My experience with the CSG has been distinctly different. I received exceptional training and support and knew exactly what I was getting into before I started. I have had just the results I was wanting, and even better. I'm very satisfied to make the money I do as a stay at home single mom! I am working with great people, you can even get in touch with some of them via my website. I'm certain they will tell you that they HAVE had things explained to them and DO get training that they need.

If you want help, I'd be glad to see if there is something I can do to assist you. NO CHARGE! I think that somewhere along the line you missed out on training and support! To me, that is a CRIME- there is over 30 hours of it live available per week, hundreds of recorded hours in the back office, and the PREMISE of the coastal synergy group is that you should be in business for yourself but never BY yourself. It seems to me that you were pretty much by yourself, and there was no reason that you should have been!

Annette Kennedy is MY director as well. I worked with her directly, and find her to be excellent although a very busy lady- she is VERY successful. BUT- she is not "available" to my team members without me making special arrangements and setting apointments! She has her own business to run! So, I don't know why you were told that. I'm truly very sorry, that is not the way things are supposed to be with the CSG. For me, its very important that people starting this business (or ANY business for that matter) have all the information in hand before making the decision. There really should not be any surprises expense wise (its ALL on the websites, not to mention the business q&a calls and global theatres- did you not attend one before you joined?)

You should also get the amount of training and support you NEED. For my team, that is about 1/2 hour/day direct, personal one-on-one until they have got their release. Which should take about a month or so, all told. Its a business after all! You wouldn't start up a Macdonalds without going to hamburger university, or most other traditional business without training and information! This should be no different.
