Complaint Review: Mark Mackenzie owner of MNM Painting in Lincoln CA

I responded to this add things didnt seem on the up and up I had to ask what the company name was.

I googled it it looks like a scam so I decided to call and schedual an inspection to verify the authentisity of the company.

After calling 5 times with no answer I left a message.

He called me back

was unsure of what his title was the HR person was also the email from her was not a company email.

He also seemed like he did not answer this question often and asked how i got their info. I told him the web site then he reffered me back to the web site which seems to have a directory which did not have someone for my area which he did not know tho he claimed and one point to be something like the area manager. For a company selling dreams to people of employment charging them monthley fees for getting them work then putting out little to no effort in getting there contractors work, or selling the product they claim to.

It is by very definition a scam.  

First, This Report was not written my a former client nor a former employee. I have been in Business since 2002, 12 years and I have Zero, Zero complaints with the labor board. I have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau, this is a 3 year old report which was filed by a fiancé of a individual that I let go during his probation period. He lied about his skills and ability to perform as a Journeyman Painter. He showed up to work in jeans and shirts instead of painters whites. He didn't know what a Grip is, ( It's a bag of painters tools), He could not spray or cut lines in at journeyman nor apprentice level, he was released for these reasons. He couldn't face his fiancé with his incompetence so he lied to her, saying that I fired because was not bilingual- I am not even billingual, but my clients and employees speak English, some are bilingual but that has Never been a factor. I require painters to be non smokers, clean cut and great at what they do, I have won Best of The Best in our city, 2 out of last 3 years. If her fiancé had been honest with her, this report would not have been written. It has No Merritt!! All False information, the rip off is her wasting her time , mine and yours reading and responding to this report. If I had done that- He would have filed for unemployment and filed a claim with the labor board but it was not true so he couldn't DIDNT and wouldn't!!!

I am entitled to my opinion of this company as well as my free speech. As far as lawsuits go, you have zero grounds for one, so good luck on that. Us, on the other hand, plan on reporting our earnings to the IRS, I hope you plan on doing the same. Oh wait? You can't, because you hire under the table and do not have any documentation on your employees. You don't pay the due taxes on those employees. You know who would LOVE to hear about that? The California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.

As law abiding citizens, we pay our taxes and expect to have lawful employment. We had no clue that you would be paying under the table. You are what's wrong with America. You are the reason this country is failing, you and everyone else like you. You have painters on employment from the Painter's Union working for you under the table, I am sure law enforcement would be all over that... blowing your precious "reputation" right out of the water. You are the reason why good people can't find good work.

This is essentially a warning to all job searchers in the Sacramento area looking for employment. You hire and fire repeatedly. Did you not fire 5 men the week he worked with you? Did you not verbally state you fired 3 men the week before and that's why you were looking to hire? That serial hiring and firing is indicative of how of a business is run. You are unreliable employment, and everyone needs to see that before getting involved with your company.

Honorable men state their intentions out in the open, if you need temporary workers, just say so. It's that simple, a caveman could do it.

By the way, you being "kind" when firing him doesn't feed my baby, so save it for someone who cares.

Apparently he gave you incorrect information! The person you have written about was released for failure to perform at Journeyman expectations and basic Journeyman knowledge.I was very kind to him when released and he advised was having foreman at previous job for same issue. He was a pleasant person but unable to do the job. Being bilingual had no part of application or screening and there is absolutely no need to speak another language. Only to take charge of his own position and and perform at a reasonable level of success. Any additional incorrect comments on public websites will be taken note of and slander and harassment suit filed. We are equal opportunity employer, see our website. How can you know of my horrid firing practices just because your person mentioned did not  have the ability to fill this position.But she is correct in her last statement, If you cant  show up in Painters attire and can not perform at Journeyman standards you will not last long here. We Won Best of the Best Contractor in Lincoln, this year and we expect top quality employees. Our customers deserve it. Be careful with your slander, It is incorrect and illegal.
