Marketing Report, Consumer Survey Specialist Mystery Shopping Scam requires you to pay Nothing! Dallas Texas
This "company" sent a letter through the postal service along with a seemingly valid check for $3500.00 and instructions describing what to do with the money once I received it. Upon receipt, I was to call a number and talk to a woman named Jennifer Bradley. She would then "activate" the check so that I would be able to deposit it directly into my bank account. The check was placed in a hold status pending it cleared in 4-5 days. The following day I checked my account through an ATM at my bank and was told my account was not valid. When I spoke with the bank they said that because the check was fake that my account had been closed and I was now responsible for the $3500.00 check that I hadnt even spent a penny of!!
I tried calling the so-called "Marketing Report" and Jennifer Bradley hangs up the phone. Im still trying to fix my bank, still unsure if they are going to press Fraud charges on me--a single Mother with a full-time job. I work hard for my money and because I fell for this "companys'" lies I will regret for years to come.
