I went to Marlo's Furniture to purchase a dining room set, but their choices were so limited that I decided to go to Pottery Barn instead. I tried to get my $150 deposit back and the store, once they idenfity that someone is trying to reach them with a problem, they shut off the phones.

A bedroom set I had also ordered was delivered damaged.

The only way to find the manager is to actually show up in person. In this case, the manager who would only give a single name "Patel" was condescending, rude and patronizing.

If you want to buy something small like a $129 end table, then you have to trek some 25-30 miles (I live in Rockville) to Forestville to pick it up. Having it transferred to a store closer to where you live will cost and extra $60.

Rudeness is corporate culture at Marlos. The sales people only want to talk to you if they believe you will seriously buy something. Otherwise they will ignore you.

Steer clear of this place unless you just want to spend the next six months trying to get your deposit back or replacement furniture.
