Maroone Dodge Of Delray Beach ripoff fraudulent ad on Autotrader.com & by Richard Amaya via phone Delray Beach Florida
On Oct. 07, 2006, we located and copied an ad from Autotrader.com, placed by Maroone Dodge of Delray Beach, FL. The ad stated:"2006 Chrysler Town & Country Limited - $16,191.
The ad listed numerous standard equipment features including roof rails.
The ad also included the listed numerous additional features including DVD.
I called and talked to Richard Amaya and he kept me on the phone while he confirmed the stock and the "Limited" was as listed. He agreed to hold it for the rest of the day while we drove about 4 hours (one way) to Delray Beach.
When we arrived, he and another saleperson showed my wife and I the vehicle -- it was not a "Limited"; the sales person who took over for Richard Amaya told us:"An 06 start at $37,000 and go up; I can show you some of those we have in stock"!
We can furnish a copy all the features falsely advertised on this vehicle by Maroone Dodge of Delray Beach, FL becaused we printed them off their advertisement and took them with us when we made the trip to Delray Beach.

Autotrader has several disclaimer on their site taking no responsibility for errors and typo's.
I once saw an ad for a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am / fully loaded for 1,000 bucks. I called the dealership and they were furious that the error was never corrected. They said it was the third call they'd recieved about it. if the price is too good to be true, it probably is.
It's not false advertising, but if you want to hire an attorney and go thru the process, go for it. That would cost you more than the differance in price.
