Marqilife; EMillionaire.com Spam in e-mail is Scam - Stealing Credit Card Info & $$ Internet
Received spam in my e-mail box, opened and was offered a chance for a job doing research for Google. Pay us only $1.95 for information....and we'll mail you some info. I gave them my credit card information (bad mistake) for the $1.95 charge on January 24, 2009, and waited for some "information" about this to come via e-mail or USPS.
Nine days later, on Feb 4, 2009, this company, Marqilife, debited $39.95 from my account. I called my bank, SunTrust, and was told to call them (Marqilife) on the phone at 1-877-462-0055. Called and was told that they were a health food clearinghouse phone number (?) and that I have to contact the real company via e-mail, at support@emillionaire.com. This I did, three times. No response, they never e-mailed back. I specifically asked for a refund, and to e-mail me.
I never heard from them again.
Now, on Feb 10th, I have filed a 'Reg E' fraud claim with my bank, SunTrust. The claim number is: #643964 .
I will also have to get a new credit/debit card, so these crooks don't keep coming back for more loot.
I have also filed a complaint with IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center).
