TIMESHARE FRAUD FROM THE MARRIOTT!  The sales person completely lied to use during the presentation, and during their selling points.  The main lie they told us, was in regards to their maintenance fees, it was stated they would not go up for several years, and when they did, due to inflation it would be very minimal. In 4 years our fees more than quadrupled!  With that we had to deed the timeshare back to them since we were unable to keep up with the increasing maintenance fees.   Now they report the time share as Real property on my credit and list it as deed in lieu of foreclosure!  With that I cannot refinance due to the word foreclosure listed on my credit.  My credit scores are still in the high 700- 800's but with it listed as real property and the word foreclosure on my credit, its impossible to get a real property loan or refinance.  I have asked Marriott to please reword the way they list on my credit but they will not give me the time of day, nor do they care!  This company is a SCAM in many ways, beware!  NOT RECOMMENDED, DO NOT PURCHASE A TIMESHARE FROM THE MARRIOTT!!!

Timeshare Ownership has consistently been known for three things: beautiful properties, incredible
destinations and FRIGHTENING sales practices. Nevertheless, the reason for owning a timeshare has never changed people simply want to spend quality time with their family and friends. Unfortunately, after being deceived by their developer, the majority of timeshare and vacation ownership owners have forgotten why they purchased a timeshare in the first place. They find themselves scratching their heads trying to figure out how they wound up deep in debt and angry over the process that landed them there. I'm sorry you got taken, if it helps, here you can find some information about how to solve your matter:
