MARTHA JULIUS (MRS) [winner@uknationallottery.co.uk] A Scam on the UK Lottery Online Only Internet
Because the notification I received from a "fake" UK Lottery appeared, at first glance, to be legitimate, I was excited about the possibility that my money worries would be over.
I soon discovered that the email I received was a scam, based on a legitimate national lottery in the U.K.
The real lottery is designed for citizens of the U.K. only, and they must also have an active bank account in the U.K.
Additionally, they do not ask for personal i.d., nor do they tell you the amount of your winnings in an email.
This is a clever hoax, because they use legitimate winning numbers from the real lottery, and even have a link to the real thing. This is a cruel trick to play on people who really need extra money, and I wish that they could be stopped and put out of business.
