Complaint Review: Martins Classic Cars

I brought my car to Martin to have some work done on the way to a restoration.  I received an estimate and we agreed to do the work I needed.  Shortly after he began the work he contacted me for permission to spend additional funds.  I agreed and we moved forward with the job.  2 weeks later when the job was supposed to be finished the car was still sitting un touched.  I had given him money a week earlier only to find out that he spent it on another persons vehicle.

He now did not have enough money to finish my vehicle.  I had to pre pay him for the rest of the job so he could finish.  2 weeks later I went to pick up my car and the bill was double.  I was outraged.  I picked up the car and went to another shop to get the work inspected because it looked like total garbage.  The other shop is ASE certified and they found many things wrong with his work that would have let to catastrophic failure of the engine and brake components.  They also found that work was not done that i had paid Martin for.  What a scammer!  Unfortunately I will have to sue them for what they have done to me and my vehicle.


I would stay away from this guy and this shop.  They are nothingn but a ripoff and they prey on customers so they can scam them out of money.  They do not do the work they claim on the cars and they bill the customer for items they have not even completed.
