Marts Oil Deception New Castle Delaware
I have been a customer of Marts Oil for 4 years. Like most people who use oil deliveries, when the price of oil began to skyrocket, I chose their price protection policy. I also had a large credit balance.
I have received two deliveries this winter, and I have also received statements showing balances due, but no credit balance. I have had to call both times to find out if the credit still existed. The first time I called about the price Sayid did adjust it down to $1.79/9. According to Sayid, if I have automatic delivery, then I get charged the retail price. The wholesale rate is only for customers who call in for the daily price. The second time I called about the difference in price and said I would be cancelling my account, he said if I cancel now he would charge me the price per gallon difference for the first delivery.
Also, according to Sayid, I can only cancel the automatic delivery if I CALL only between May 1st and May 15th.
Calling Marts Oil is a lesson in futility, however, I will make sure that is on my calendar with a pop-up so I can cancel.
Lesson learned: never sign an oil delivery contract with any company. Make the call only when oil is needed.
