NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

I have had pretty much the same experience with GCFN, I had signed up with them in August 10, 2006. after surfing the net and landing on Mark Hodges Don't' Get Scammed Again telling about this program and giving it such a high reading, I thought that just maybe it was for real. I paid $328.95 + p/h for the website package. Then after talking to one of the media coaches on August the 21st, he talked me into purchasing the guaranteed visitor package $2994.95 + p/h. (all was paid buy using my credit card) When the end of September was fast approaching, I hadn't received a check from them so I called GCFN and talked to one of their support staff to inquire about it.

They informed me that checks were being sent out and if one was written to me that I should receive it in a few weeks. Well, a few weeks had past and no check. I not only called the next time but sent them a number of emails asking them to check my stats for me, it seemed that I was trying to asked them for a secret formula of some secret weapon or something, they couldn't tell me. (It took awhile for them to respond to my emails or to retun my calls) A couple of times they told me that their office manger is the only one that can give me that information for me but it so happens that they stepped out at the moment. (That was told to me three different times that I called).

I then received an email from one of their support staff telling me that it takes at least 30 days from the day of the sale in order to receive a check. With that in mind I waited another few weeks and still no check. I called their office and talked to one of their staff members and again I asked if there was any way that she could check my 24hourwebpage stats for me? She kept stalling buy asking me if I received the information about the affiliate stats, (I did, but not until after a couple of months into the program) but that wasn't what I was asking for.

She then told me that the accounting department would have that information but they do not except phone called in that department and that if I am to receive a check it will arrive in a couple of weeks, So again I waited and still may I dare say it? NO CHECK. They emailed me informing me about a site that could give me all of this information It is suppose to tell you the complete stats on everything, the 24hourwebpage and the affiliate sites. But they always seem to have no activity at all.

And the links in that site always went to another persons 24hourwebpage and not my own, what's up with that? At this point all of my frustrations were finally coming out, I had reached my boiling point. I had enough of being kept in the dark, being giving the run-around, I just couldn't understand why they were being so secretive about this information that wanted.

I spent over $3,200 in this program, (boy did they see a sucker coming) you would think that they would be more helpful. So again I called their office this time to talk to an office manager, because this time I was demanding a full refund. Instead they connected me to Ryan, their Quality Manager. I explained to him of what has been happening during the past three months and that I was not satisfied with the program and wanted a full refund.

Well, he mentioned the 12 month deal to me and after checking on a few things while I was on hold, he came back and said that he can only give me partial payment because about half the money had already been spent on advertising my three WebPages,.He said that over 2,000 visitors has seen my WebPage so they are doing their part. I asked him then why am I not getting any referral's? There should be quite a few of them and why am I not receiving any checks? He couldn't answer me. He didn't know.

Anyway, he said that he would give me another 3,000 additional Guaranteed Visitors to my 24hourwebcash.com site within the year. If I stay in the program. The value of this is up to $1795, he said that they would take care of the cost for me. (If they can cover the cost to do this, then why can't they refund me the full payment?) Oh yes and in addition, he will send me a special bonus, Over 50 FREE Additional Online Classified Ads. I said ok, at least I would get something for going through all of this. (I paid for this program with my credit card in which I hesitated because I feared of being scammed, but I wanted to trust them so I did.
I work hard at a near by factory, I have a wife and three kids. We basically live from pay check to pay check. I don't normally use the credit card unless it's an emergency.)

Anyway, I told Ryan that after going through all of this I cancelled my card. He asked me to reinstate the card just long enough so they could credit my account of the partial payment. It's has been four weeks and my card has not been credited the refund. And now after reading the other (victims) report, I feel that I should not settle for just partial payment, if the other person could get a full refund then why can't I? I feel that I have been through a lot with these people and I am entitled to it. So if you were to ask me if I feel that I was scammed? YES!!

I have read Steven's very informative rebuttal, I appreciate his response. But please allow me to clear up a few things.



#1. I was not saying that I wasn't receiving their products, I was merely complaining about the lack of communication. I was able to reach the staff only by phone, but by email it usually took 3-4 weeks. Still it didn't matter if it was by phone or email, my question was still unanswered. I feel that it only makes good common sense to wonder if your business is generating any sales and if your making any kind of revenue.



#2. I was not looking for a "do nothing, sit back and get rich quick program. I have not been just sitting back, twiddling my thumbs and running out to the mail box checking the mail every 5 minutes as evidently Steve is picturing me doing. Does he really think that I would invest over 3 grand into this business and sit back and do nothing? I had spent hours sense day one, sending emails, placing ads, created my own webpages, sending direct mailers and etc. trying to promote this business. I was looking for a business that would generate a steady income, one that would take the place of my present income that I receive from the foundry that I work. I have a layoff to worry about and investing any money into a business was really a very big decision that I had to make. Anybody that goes on layoff could tell that you that it doesn't pay very well, the first check doesn't usually arrive until 3-4 weeks later.

When I first saw the webpage 24hourwebcash.com, it tells us that we could make 2,000 per week. In other ads I have seen where it tells us that it only takes 21 days to be certified and get your first check, so naturally I assumed that after 21 days, I will be receiving checks of $2,000+ and in my present situation, I felt that this business would be exactly what I was looking for. Something that would pickup where my present income would leave off and as soon as possible.



#3. I have attended collage and majored in business management, and have held positions as a supervisor and assistant manager before in the past, and also I have had a small business on the side myself several years ago, and not to mention working in manufacturing at the foundry, so I do know a lot about the concepts of commitment and follow-through. I am well aware of the business cycle: Research and planning, marketing and sales, and growth and performance. And in my experience, I found that yes, it is true that you have to give a business time to grow and be profitable, but it also depends on the business that you are starting. I know some people personally that would not even touch a business without knowing for sure that it will be profitable and that they will get a quick return on their investment. Now I admit that I am still a layperson when it comes to online internet businesses, and that I did not know that it usually takes this long to see any revenue. If I had known, I would then be a little more vigilant.



#4. I would like to apologize for calling GCFN a scam. With the trouble that I have had (meaning communication), and by reading other reports submitted to this site see http://www.ripoffreport.com/

it was easy to speculate.



In Steven's rebuttal, he mentioned a refund after a full year. It must be fairly knew because I recall reading where it said that they would rerun the program after giving it a try for a year but nothing about a refund.

At this point I attend to hold him to that refund agreement and stay into the program until August, in which to will be a year. I plan to continue to promote this business in the media and if still don't see any revenue, then they certainly will be hearing from me again.



I would like to give GCFN some friendly advice, and that is to design some kind of webpage that would have everything on it as far as marketing tools, Questions and answers, and maybe a forum page where new students can contact other students who are being successful in this business and maybe get some advice that maybe helpful. I know that some questions can be answered by reading the manual or calling someone, but remember new and fresh questions are being thought of every day.

Mr. Perry -



I wanted to follow up with you regarding your statements.



First, Mary Gersten and all of us here at the Global Cash Flow Network take what we do very seriously. It's obvious you work hard doing what you do and you want this to work.



And we *DO* want it to work for you.



It seems that you have a few major issues that you'd like to see addressed:



1) You were having trouble getting answers about

whether you were to get a check;



2) You wanted to be able to check and monitor your

stats to see if you are successfully making

any sales or not;



3) And if you paid money for the Traffic System,

you'd like to know why you haven't got a check



Now, I will address these in their entirety as best as I can, however we'd be more than happy to speak to you if you contact our main office at 1-800-719-8270 (M-F, 9am to 5pm Arizona time).



First, based on everything you've mentioned and all our records we have in fact delivered our products to you as we committed to. Clearly, you have been able to reach our staff for support and our Quality Management Team has worked with you to make unique, special arrangements with you that you agreed to.



Before you even got started we were very clear in our promotional materials that there's no such thing as something for nothing and that our program isn't right for everyone and that if you were looking for a "do nothing, sit back and get rich quick program" to look elsewhere because this is a real business training requiring dedication and commitment just like any real business. In fact, that's exactly why we made it crystal clear in the terms and conditions that you agreed to when you applied for enrollment in our program and was a condition of you being selected for program participation. Part of those terms are that you agree to give the business a full 1 year trial because there's a learning curve in any new business - and to remove the risk for you we went over and above the call of duty by going on record to promise that if you did give the business a try for 1 full year, go through the learning curve necessary that if you hadn't made all of your money back from the start up cost of the initial program, we would be happy to refund you the difference of what you made vs. what you paid.



I don't know how we can be any fairer than that because it appears that you're unwilling to give this business the time it takes to become profitable and while we feel for you, you should know that there's always a learning curve with ANY business and regardless if you try ours or another one, being in business for yourself always takes commitment and follow-through (and no one but you can give you those two things).



Now, as for the Traffic System, that comes with a separate guarantee because of the nature of the way the media is purchased and the traffic generated.



You see, in this situation, we act like a media agency. And, to our knowledge we're one of the few companies that offer what we do. That's because if someone runs an ad in any media (internet, newspaper, TV, Radio, Magazines, etc.) you create the ad, pay the placement fee, and run the ad in the media you've selected.



Say you run a small classified in a weekly supermarket tabloid (the last time we checked that small 15 or 20 word ad would cost you around $1,100).



And that money is a cost of doing business and is gone regardless if that ad generates zero responses or 50-100 responses. Unfortunately, that way there are no performance guarantees. And it's the same thing with all other media placement mediums and ads, except the ad costs are much more expensive (businesses routinely spend at least $10,000 just to *TEST* a new ad or medium with NO guarantee of results). It's a cost of doing business.



Try placing an ad with any company, for any product and tell them you only want to pay them if you make a sale as a result of the media placement. See how long it takes before they hang up on you. They won't bare the risk and they won't guarantee that they'll get even one website visitor, calls or response; and they certainly won't guarantee that a sale will happen.



We offer something different because we wanted to make it easier for our Certified Media Placement Specialists to succeed and go through the learning curve quicker and easier.

Further I feel I must clear something up that has been misrepresented about the assertion and perception of what a "scam" might be. A scam is where someone buys a product and the company doesn't send you anything and vanishes into thin air.



First of all, Global Cash Flow Network and Mary Gersten offer the Certified Media Placement Specialist Program which allows students to be trained to be a Media Placement Specialist. We build the websites, provide training tools that include word for word samples you are licensed to use with classified ads online, classified ads offline, magazines, direct mail, the Internet, with articles, Press Releases, Search Engine Submission and more.



It should also be pointed that we have spent tens of thousands of dollars (and in some cases hundreds of thousands) to develop, test, and perfect the marketing materials we provide you with before we make them available to our CMPs.



This piece alone is invaluable to people who really understand that we've taken most the work, expense and risk out of the equation for our students.



In addition to giving samples for each of these, we also provide the places you can go to do these things. Dozens if not hundreds of sources we steer you to with the Internet, SRDS, magazines, newspapers, and online advertising sources as well. We include full contact information for these.



We also provide no cost, low cost and high cost options for placing media that as a student you can choose to work with. And again this was provided in your initial start up materials.



Next, you mentioned the purchase of Traffic. I want to clarify this as well because what you purchased was more than traffic. You purchase a Traffic System - which includes Internet Visitors, Direct Mailers, and then more advanced do it yourself type options to build from - like Google AdWords, AdSense, Creating blogs, using blogs, hidden unknown Pay Per Click opportunities, RSS feeds, landing pages, squeeze pages, and then we offer our support to help walk you through strategies to help you with ideas on media placement.



The Traffic System is a full system - which it appears by your statements that you're only looking at the Visitors portion, which we help create through Internet Advertising. However, it is *not* (nor has it ever been represented to be, ANYWHERE) a system where as a student just 'gets visitors and waits for a check.'



As mentioned above (and in all our materials from day one) this is a REAL business and like any real business it requires work and follow-through - Mary has been crystal clear about that from day one.



Again, it seems that there is confusion on your end and we want to help clear that up. Please feel free to contact us at the office.



Mr. Perry, it appears (unless there is something I don't know) that you may have misunderstood the POWER of this overall system.



We're training people to get traffic from multiple sources and training students to grow into a Media Placement Specialist - that's someone who knows how to build traffic so that it doesn't matter what product or service they represent, they can build a short and long term business.



As to addressing your statement of 'what about the 2000 visitors' - why has it not created results?



Well, let's talk about the results. First, if my records are correct.

This represents about 1/8th of the entire visitor package and there's a long way to go.



Next, we never promise that we're going to create 'guaranteed customers' - that would be nice, but it isn't reality. What we guarantee is that we're going to get targeted visitors to your site and business.



Now, the greater the traffic to your business - especially if it's targeted using the right marketing, the greater likelihood that you create conversions and ultimately sales immediately and through good follow-up methodologies.



However, how many times have you or people you know walked into a store, look around and leave without buying anything? I know I've done this many times. Then a few months later I went back to the store and purchased.



Part of what we teach students is to have reasonable expectations. It's like planting seeds in the soil. First, you've got to plant the seeds in the right soil. That's why targeting through the right marketing and right media placement is so important. It's also why we don't recommend just running a 'classified ad' in a traditional newspaper per s We recommend targeting publications where people are looking for what you have to offer.



Targeting - For example, You could run an ad in Entrepreneur Magazine.

That would be a targeted type client. Or, you could send out a direct mailer (which we give license for you to use) to a targeted group of people who ordered Business Opportunity Magazine-or any number of the hundreds of sources like this.



Similarly on the Internet we target people with an ad that is specific to someone looking to start a home business - not people looking for a car, hubcaps or blue jeans.



Targeting is critical. What we assure is that we target people who are looking for what you're offering; we direct them to your 'website'.



These 'seeds' if you will, then take time to germinate and grow.

Admittedly, like any type of media placement some of the seeds, in fact, many of the seeds do nothing, just like there are many people who go to a store and window shop. And, sometimes your marketing message falls on people who are ready to take action right away. It's all about law of averages and time in the saddle.



You only need a response rate to be a 'fraction of a percent' to get results in business.



And, that's why we give you a Traffic System. A visitor created today, might take 6, 7 or 8 months to finally come back and purchase something.



That's why we also provide you all the other tools, education and support to multiply your media placement and therefore your chance to make money with the right follow up and relationship building procedures.



On top of that, I'm not sure why it appears that there was such a hard time regarding your stats. Apparently there was a communication issue or you spoke to someone who didn't understand the procedure and we will certainly look into and fix that on our end immediately now that we know about it.



If it shows there are no sales yet, in all likelihood it means that you did not get a check - yet. It does not mean you will not get a check. It just means you haven't gotten a check yet.



Maybe our staff was a little uncomfortable just saying that to you - I'm not sure. As one of the supervisors here, I will be holding a meeting immediately to make sure that anyone calling in the future will be better direct clients to the log in tracking area for stats.



Please be aware that most businesses take 5 years to break even. 98% of all businesses fail for one of several reasons. In Mary Gersten's report, she discusses the 5 Major Areas of business and why most fail and why only a small amount ever succeed.



Our goal is to make sure as a client you're not part of the 98%. We provide the tools and the support, however the client has to do their part too because zero multiplied by any number we provide is still going to come up as zero.



The beauty of the Internet is that you probably won't have to wait 5 years for the chance to break even. We have clients who are getting results, and although you may not be getting results yet, it doesn't mean that the business doesn't work. We put the safeguards of our 1 year policy in place as a safeguard for our clients so they can feel good about their decision and at the same time be encouraged to take the necessary steps it takes to go through the business learning curve, stay the course committed to their own success, and mastery the media placement skills necessary.



All of this is to say that we're 100% confident that we've gone above and beyond the call of duty to put together a certification and training program that so long as the participant is committed to making it work, the only way that someone will fail in our business is if they quit.
