Complaint Review: Mary Jo Mellor

I'm a Ham Radio operator and I started receiveing phone calls and emails asking when I would be shipping Ham related items that I sold. I assured the callers that I had not advertised anything for sale and was confused why they thought that I had. After a lengthy discussion with one gentleman I learned that my Ham Radio Identity had been hijacked. These people had sent payment and according to "my" instructions, they were to send it to Mary Jo Mellor in Las Vegas. Most of these lost their payment as the thief specified he needed a Postal Money Order only. One lucky gentlemen sent his payment to my address of record by the FCC. I was more than glad to return his payment. Since then I have posted warnings on the popular Ham Radio classifieds on the web. I emailed the Cook County of Nevada District Attorney and he needs the complaint submited by a recognized Law Enforcement agency. I'm still working on that aspect. If you are contemplating a purchase from a Ham, check the available FCC lookup for the real address. Do not fall for a story directing your payment elseware!!
