Masri Clinic Haitham Masri MD Failed to perform external rhinoplasty as described, refused to rectify, then accused my ladyfriend of being a poor patient. Dearborn, Michigan
Since I last filed a report I have been fallaciously and maliciously sued for libel (went nowhere) because I stuck my neck out to defend a lady caregiver for my Alzheimer's mother whose meager savings went to Dr. Masri. Masri admitting he did not perform the requested surgery arrogantly later dismissed her as a poor patient who did not pay for the surgery he agreed to do which is a lie I witnessed.
How mistakes are rectified is the measure of anyone in business. I published the story on ripoff.com and I am sorry to say I suspect was paid to remove it as it has been missing from the internet for quite a while. Ironically rippoff refused my original requests to remove it-and now I would prefer it remain posted.
I want to admit implicitly that before I retained attorney Debbie Schlussel I cravenly tried to appologize to get his lawyer suing me for libel off my back as Judge Chabot of Oakland County Circuit Court did not consider Souad"s testimony on my behalf at the initial hearing ordering the libel suit to go foward despite the ultimate defense of "veritas"
Since then more was found about Dr.Masri by attorney Schlussel including that his license was once suspended for falsifying medical records. Again in my logical opinion, once a liar always a liar. For more information I suggest you google Debbie Schlussel and look for Haitham Masri.
In a nutshell.
The gold standard of any plastic surgery is the willingness of a doctor to rectify an error, this doctor said after she turned down a last minute costly upgrade (nostril narrowing) which was not in the original agreement he changed the procedure from an external rhinoplasty to what is apparently a simpler internal rhinoplasty.
Later in a nasty voice he told us she did not pay to have the tip of her nose lifted and that he did not touch the tip of her nose, and that she would have to pay the full amount to redo the operation.
The only reason she chose this doctor is that Souad wanted a doctor who spoke Arabic. The fact that they were both Moslem (his staff said he was late because he was at the mosque) may have been a factor because she trusted him implicitly I guess out of a traditional respect. I myself assumed that anyone who is at a house of worship hopefully must be rightious and honest (won't make that mistake again!).
After waiting without food or drink for hours after the appointed time Souad, the last patient to be operated on in his back room, once again reminded him while strapped on the table what she expected, he silently ignored her, when she woke up he was gone, the staff sent her home without written instructions for aftercare, she bled and threw up in her rides car on the way, suffering from pain and thirst.
In my opinion thanks to the American Medical Association plastic surgeons have a licence to misrepresent, or lie outright in the State of Michigan. Verbal agreements for medical procedures are NOT admissable in court! Opening a malpractice complaint is not feasible unless you can prove a large loss (thousands of dollars+), and most rhinoplasties are under seven thousand dollars.
I got this information from a well known anonymous Arabic Dearborn attorney who is familiar with similar complaints about other doctors.
When Souad attempted with my advice to take him to small claims court his well paid lawyer removed it to a higher court though the judge initially agreed with her that she was cheated.
Again I ask Rippoff to re-instate my original story, I recant my craven and cowardly apology made under duress (it did no good anyway). Google Debbie Schlussel regarding him, and in my opinion I hope that some agency investigates ( the business is listed under his "divorced wife") for wrongdoing. Just the circumstances are overwhelmingly damning again in my lay opinion.

Is a website for Doctors - Board Certified Plastic Surgeons have their own site
I know because I have a Plastic Surgeon certified by this board. Next time your "friend" wants to spend money find out if the Surgeon is Certified.
FYI ROR does not remove reports -
