Don't sign up for Massage Envy in Draper, Utah.  Once you do they will keep charging you until the end of time.  The manager will tell you that they are giving you a refund and that they won't charge you any longer, but they will prove that talk is cheap.

You do not want to get involved with this company.  On the surface they seem nice an friendly, but short of closing the account they are billing there is nothing you can do to stop them from continuing to charge you long after you have canceled your account.

It's all about the agreement you sign

I've been a member several times with Massage Envy at several clinics.  It's all about what you initial and sign.  Just make sure to get copies of everything.  They are legal documents.  For example, you can't just tell them to cancel your membership.  It needs to be their form and signed by you (again, ask for a copy).  If you don't fill out that cancellation form, they can keep charging you monthly because of the original agreement you signed and initialed.  Things that confused me were that you can not cancel in your initial term...you have to wait until you are on a month-to-month basis after that term....but..it's all there in writing in the agreement I signed.  I know you had a bad experience, but I love the Draper location.  They have really really good therapists!   And they have some new front desk staff that make me laugh (in a good way).  If I could afford it in these hard times I'm personally having, I would never cancel my membership!

You seem to know all the ins and outs.   Ever heard of extortion?  Many police departments take it very seriously.
