Don’t trust him-Here’s the Facts

In 2012. I put a bid in to do a job for a local company for $108,000 . Marcel talked to the owner of the business and talked him in to doing the work. Fair enough, I put an ad in looking for work in a local online service looking to promote myself, and got a call from Marcel. He wanted me to work on a house he did work for at by a private home owner. They were not happy with his work so he hired me on to do complete the work. They were very happy. They said they had to wait a long time to get the job finished. He paid me and a trust was established. I got a call from him to talk about doing more work for him.

We talked about working together and promote his business , The business comprised of hiring contractors and getting them to do the work that was generated by on line advertising (like handyman connection) I thought it could work ,I started doing sales and looking after the leads that came in and ones he didn’t follow up on. We agreed the money would come in time. In the following weeks I when out and quoted on a few jobs and got the contracts signed. Marcel could not find any contractors to do the work so I was left to do the work and hire my subcontractors and pay for materials because he didn’t have the funds . We completed a few projects and the money started to come in I asked for some money to pay my expenses (Gas for 8 weeks ,money for materials ,car expenses, subcontractors, even my son helped out. He gave me excuse every excuse not to pay me. As I’m finding out now I’m not the only one in the same position. He will not stop at anything to make a buck. He owes me over 5 thousand in materials and wages, not even covering the gas and time I put into the quoting .  He now tells me to take him to court if I want my money. What a joke
