Complaint Review: match.com

got scammed from a fake profile on match.com to wire $1600 to w.africa nigeria, they (supposedly a woman) got me hook line & sinker i was told  by this woman" cheryl campell" apparently a common name, she said she  was an antique dealer from st. petersburg fla,emailed me on match.com and was interested in me and asked for my email addr, then the profile disappeared. 3 days later got contacted and was "her"saying her texting machine and network was screwing up and couldn't get back to me,

well being lonely and wanting a relationship ,gave my phone# then it really started from there got on IM and started romantic conversions and said she was going on a business trip with her 14yr old daughter to w.africa and will correspond from there i said ,call me on the phone before you leave, said her phone broke,and her xhusband took everything she had,she got to africa and same day said she could'nt get a hold of client that owed her for $ and needed $5oo for hotel reservation

 yeah right,the flags were going up but i ignored them and friends warned me, i wired $470 to help mainly because of the girl ,the scammers before sent me a pic of a woman and girl and i started to fall in love with the pics and the sweet words, There was a weird coincidence with near by violence in mali (confirmed that) sparked a nother request for $ for another hotel that they had to evacuate to,and me thinking about the safety for the kid  wired $500 more and 2 days later told needed more to stay @ new hotel wired $600, this was in a weeks time. then got hit with a real bomb needed $4000 for plane tics back to states the following week,well i said that's impossible and "she" said the kid is crying now and will be stranded  oh well, i spent my rent$ took out a loan and sold musical equipment all together, please guys esp, or gals do not ever fall for something like this, it practically ruined me and almost broke my heart
