Complaint Review: Match.com

I have my share of stories to tell about this scam artist. Dr Phil is a total jerk. And being affiliated just shows HIS greed and lack of integrity.

But what puzzles me is that while the credit card cancellation is a known ripoff, how can they continue to draw money out of your personal bank account assuming you sent a personal check and NOT an 'E check' or whatever it is called where you are giving them permission to take funds out of your bank account-this is very much like a credit card transaction and foolish to get involved with.

I have send a personal check twice to avoid the credit card scam. I enountered NO problem but the last time I did this was about 3 years ago.

I had to sign up for the three month minimum and it is around $60.00 with no bells and whistles or Doc Phil (is he a real doctor?)

Anyway, how can they legally continue to draw out money if you send a PERSONAL check via the mail?

That would be like the electric company just sucking money out of your account whenever you were late with a payment. I don't think it can be done leagally or that any bank would allow it.

It would be fraud and the bank is responsible.

So on the posts that mention that their bank accounts get sucked out again, are you using an 'E Check'?

Otherwise, if you are indeed using a personal check, match is in big legal trouble and I would report it to the Texas attorney General.

Fact is, match and the other paid sites are class action suits waiting to happen anyway.

So if anyone wants to let me know if they indeed take money out after provideing a personal check after your membership expires, I would really like to know.
