I signed up for a $1.95 3 day trial and tried to cancel it multiple times from my phone, because I was in the process of moving and only had internet access via smart phone.  I tried it 5 or 6 times, and it never went through.  They then removed $49.95 from my bank account and when I tried to dispute it, they were very rude and said that even though I had tried to cancel, there was no proof so they were keeping my money.  

When I tried to call their crappy customer service on the phone at 11:04 EST on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014, the automated voice that greeted me said that I was calling during non-business hours.  The automated voice said to call back during regular business hours, which were Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST.  

I advise anyone who is doing the online dating thing to avoid this site like a person avoids STDs.  That's about all you'll get from Mate1.com.
