Mate1 Privacy Concerns: Cannot Delete my Profile from Mate1 Internet, Internet

Upon cancelling my profile with Mate1, the window that popped up said that I had 'Permanently Deleted My Profile from Mate1,' but when I wanted to double-check by logging back in, I saw that my profile, though hidden, was still there. I have a video with a time stamp showing me going through the entire cancellation process. It includes the window that says, 'your profile has been permanently deleted' and the following window that clearly illustrates my profile is still there and just awaiting me to 'unhide.'

When I wrotethe company, they responded with this remark, "Removing your profile means that nobody can view your profile on the site unless you choose to log in again later and rejoin." I thought 'remove' meant 'remove,' but my profile is simply being 'hidden.' The reason this has me so stressed is because I inadvertently used my first and last name as my profile naem when I signed up, and the only thing that is keeping my name and personal info from being broadcast on their website for anyone to see, is trusting that they keep it 'hidden.' (There is no way that I discovered to at least change my profile name. They are doing the opposite of what their website windows say they are doing. They tell me they have 'Permanently Deleted my Profile from Mate1,' but then I discover it is still in the system, only 'hidden.'
Since,as Mate1s Privacy Policy clearly states:  MATE1.COM DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS OF ITS MEMBERS, I am extremely anxious about some computer glitch 'unhiding' my profile.

Please could someone help me how to resolve this situation? It has left me feeling totally stressed and vulnerable. How can I get them to:

  • Delete all of my personal information from their website

  • Provide me with proof that this has happened
Is there some sort of cyber-review board/auditor to make certain that this happens?

Here is a link to their privacy policy: http://www.mate1.com/nw/privacy_policy

And here is the paragraph within their Privacy Policy, which they appear to be violating, that pertains to my situation.

"Managing or Removing Your Personal Information We keep the information that You have given Us for as long as You
