Mathue's Fine Watches will love to tell you how you will be better off buying from an authorized dealer locally rather than getting a better deal somewhere else. Even though all dealers discount their watches new models old models etc. It does in fact make sense to pay a premium to buy a luxury watch from a local authorized dealer. Mathue's will take advantage of this premium and sell you deffective products and turn a cold shoulder when you need help. Mathue's Watches sold what had been presented as a brand new current model watch. Three days after purchasing a brand new watch for $2200 the watch had a severe break from a build defect requiring major repairs. Everyone wants to save and save to spend their money on broken merchandis right? We all want to choose a merchant that does not honor their own return policies. Mathue's insisted on fixing the watch and to repair and altered the engineering so much the new watch seemed used and rigged making noises. A purchase transaction is a contract between two parties both providing the other with an agreed upon exchange "the deal" one person offers up currency and the other provides a product of equal value. When the product fails to equal the agreed upon deal the contract becomes void. Mathue's Fine Watches sold a known defective watch and did not honor their own return policies the watch can not even be returned to the manufacturer because they altered the watch so much.
