Back in April we hired Matt Donnelly to help us finish our basement. He asked for the supply money up front so that he could get the supplies delivered to our house before he started. We gave him 14,700$ up front. No supplies ever showed up and he lied and said Home Depot messed up his order, I called Home Depot and they confirmed that he never placed the order. He began work on May 19th and worked inconsistently for a few weeks he showed up 2-3 times a week only for a few hours. After a month of him not showing up and giving lots of excuses I asked him to return the remainder of my supply deposit on June 30th so that we could hire another contractor, and he has completely stopped responding to me, The BBB contacted him on Wednesday July 5 and he isn't responding to them either, we are out close to 11-12,000 dollars!
