Complaint Review: Matt Sundin EMS Films

Don’t collaborate with this guy.  He is passive aggressive, doesn’t protect his female friends/co-workers, and doesn’t give credit where it’s deserved.  He tried to impress me by saying he shoots for the GAP but his actions revealed not-so-wholesome intentions.

Matt asked me to work as a model and style a shoot he was doing for a magazine.  I was 6 years younger than him and at the start of my modeling career and wanted to shoot for more magazines so I agreed to do so.  I pulled clothes for his shoot for free and found a free location to shoot in and found us free accommodations.  He didn’t thank me for my work, but at the end of the shoot he told me he was interested in going on filmmaking trip and asked me if I wanted to go to see performance art in Brooklyn - I thought to check out locations and research art/filmmaking.

At the end of the evening we had both had some drinks and he tried to kiss me and come up to my apartment.  I was totally unprepared for that because I had thought all he wanted to do was business, photographing, etc.  So I responded like a deer in the headlights.  But I thought he and I were still friends. 

I was in a troubling situation around that time - another photographer was trying to rape/assault me on another shoot [with Seth Sabal, who now has a ripoff report about him written by his former studio manager - https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/seth-sabal-studio/new-york-new-york-10003/seth-sabal-studio-manipulative-sexual-predator-pornographer-stalker-scammer-new-york-775291 ].  I texted Matt for help while I was locking myself in the bathroom to escape from Seth and he didn’t ever respond.

After this he didn’t credit my name in the magazine [he used another name, althought I asked him to use my real name] despite all the work I’d put in on the magazine.

When I tried to give him a copy of the interview I’d done of him, he didn’t thank me and when I contacted him about another shoot I’d done he sent me a message that said simply “RIP”.  

 I’m not sure why he felt I deserved a death wish after all the hard work I’d put in on his behalf, but I wouldn’t work with this guy again and I suggest you don’t work with him either.  He’s a bit of a sleaze, tries to take advantage, and doesn’t communicate his intentions when he wants to be romantic/sexual, but if it doesn’t work exactly as he wants it to without him communicating, he becomes passive aggressive and vengeful.
