They do complain about shipping

I have seen plenty of people complain about shipping in the feedbacks of some sellers. Usually the rest of the expereince is good so its put in a positive feedback.

Usully goes like follows "Great item, Quick to Ship, Shp cost a tad high" sometimes the sellers wont care that they complain either and others I have seen give buyers negative relatlitory feedback for mentioning shipping prices even thought the buyer left positive feed back for the seller, which is totally wrong as it is.

As an honest seller such as myself I think it should be ebay policy, not just my personal preference that sellers should leave positive feed back upon payment clearing. Because at that point the buyer has held up to his/her end of the bargain, so there is no way it can be an negative experience. In fact I think they should program it so that the buyer cannot leave the seller feedback until the seller gives feedback, which if the item is paid for then it should be good and if not then they should be reported if item remains unpaid for the appropriate time.

Unfortunatly Ebay doesnt work that way. Instead they focus their efforts on keeping their power sellers happy (corrupt or not) Its a very flawed system and once my current auction is over I will more than likely never use them again after a slight mishap with listing fees that they did correct, but did not admit fault to.

I have seen this on ebay more and more latly
Just today, I saw a mp3 flash player for $24.95 buy now, shipping $59.00!!!!! anyone with a brain can see they hope you won't read it well and ebay protcts such cons. Ebay should be set up so that shipping is added to a total that is listed on the final bid page, just before you conferm the bid.

By the way, I have never seen anyone complain about this in feed back! does ebay delete such feedbacks if the shipping is listed, no mater how well obscured in the text?? How about one of the many fair ebay sellers here answering that for me.

Here's a neat way for you to look at it.

1) The Buyer tells you you're wrong
2) EBay takes action against you and tells you that you're wrong.
3) You bring your story here and 3 people tell you you're wrong.

You're 0 for 5. You're wrong.

Now, as for your "Combined Shipping". Fine, if he said that, then you e-mail him and say that you believe the billing is wrong, because the auction says combined shipping. You settle it then and there. You do not take it upon yourself to lower the amount you're going to send.

Here's a neat example. You go into Best Buy and there's a TV for $2000. But the price tag below it says $1500. You pick up the TV, put $1500 on the counter and walk out. Are you going to act all indignant in jail?

Trying buying something from anywhere online

and alter the shipping price and see how fast they send it to you. Go to walmart.com and go to purchase something and then say oh I won't pay that shipping price I wanna pay this price for shipping and watch what happens. It's people like you that are so d**n cheap you cry over shipping. I mean hell I bet even after shipping you still couldn't buy the same thing at a store in your town for the same price or else you wouldn't have been on Ebay looking for it.

If there's only a few dollars difference I would buy it at my local store and not only support my local economy but get it RIGHT THEN and not have to wait 7-10 days for the item to arrive. I bought a pair of dress shoes off of Ebay for 16.99 and with shipping it was like $28 and some change, now did it cost 12 dollars to ship probably not but those same dress shoes anywehre else were $85.00 plus shipping. so I didn't mind the $12.00 Shipping hell I would have paid $30.00 if he asked and STILL would have gotten it cheaper.

You should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS read over an auction before you bid on it, you never know you could pay $100.00 for a manual to an item rather then the item!!A LATA

How I am I wrong. The seller here cleatly stated in his Auctions that Conmbined shipping was avialble. He siad for $3.oo shipping he would mail the Items Damged in a $.37 Mailer. Dont get me wrong but Combined shipping does mean That Lower shipping Well at least I thought so.

You bid you buy

#9Consumer Suggestion

A suggestion is to look at it from the sellers point of view. Alot of times the seller doesnt want to chance that the item will not sell for alot and there for will put the shipping up a bit in order to make up for projected loss. I as a seller do not think it is right, but in the end the shipping is clearly marked on auctions and if you bid, that is as far as ebay is concerned a contract to buy, unless someone out bids you.

This holds true even if I were to post an auction for 4 miniature capsule machine ninja toys for 99 cents and the shipping were 100 dollars. Thats in no way right, but if someone decides to bid without reading the entire auction, that is his/her fault. and he/she will be legally agreeing to pay 100 dollars shipping on 4 little toys that dont equal but maybe four ounces in wieght.

Just got to pay attention, and as a seller I would be furious if someone changed my shipping with out prior contact to me and that person would not get a warning from me. That person should and would be reported and left negative feedback, and since you didnt pay full shipping then the seller shouldnt be held responsible for sending the item to you. Those are just my thoughts though.

Shipping Prices Clearly Stated

#9Consumer Comment

Wed, May 25, 2005

Whenever you bid for an item on Ebay or purchase it through "buy-it-now", the shipping costs are clearly stated. If you think the shipping costs are too high, don't bid or contact the seller PRIOR to bidding to attempt to negotiate the shipping price. A seller has an absolute right to file a complaint and leave negative feedback whenever a buyer takes it upon him/herself to reduce the shipping fee.

You bid, you pay. They're right, you're wrong

You are completely in the wrong on this. One of two things happened. Either the price for shipping was reported in the auction, in which case you should never have bid if you didn't want to pay that amount for shipping, or the auction said "Plus Shipping" at which time when he told you that the cost was $14.22, you could have either bartered with him or backed out.

They're right, you're wrong.
