This guy was curious about my potential lawsuit so he called and asked me to explain what happened. Then, he decided he wanted to represent me.

I called him and emailed him several times to see if he wanted documents to substantiate my claims before filing the Complaint. He went on to file the Complaint without submitting necessary forms simultaneously and the Complaint had numerous factual errors in it, too. He instructed me to dictate the requisite changes to his secretary, which I did. The Complaint remained unchanged.

Eventually, opposing counsel asked him to amend the complaint. Even after he "did,"  no changes were made at all. He never explained this. He did not return any calls or respond to any further emails.

He did send me a notice of the upcoming trial date and instructed me to be available with two hours notification and to dress appropriately.

Except one. He did no discovery whatsoever, but he did receive an offer to settle which he did not pass on to me until I inquired what was happening.

I asked him how discovery was going? No answer. He sent me several emails one day explaining he had negotiated a bigger settlement than I had sought. I never told him an amount I wanted to settle. He never asked me. He simply submitted an amount he chose which was $488,000.00 more than their final offer.

I responded by asking him what discovery had yielded. No answer. Then, he threatened to tell the judge I was abusing the judicial system by refusing to settle for an amount even greater than I had already agreed to accept. Guess what? That is exactly what he did. The judge didn't buy it.

He told the judge additional, total, complete fabrications about me and my lawsuit, too. He asked to withdraw as counsel, asking for a lien on any settlement amount plus costs. I informed the judge that he was being misinformed and that I wanted a chance to respond. "Well, now is not the time. You may be allowed to respond at some point, but now is not the time." Funny. He gave my "lawyer" the chance to lie but I couldn't take time at that point to refute his bull-crap. He was still my counsel, remember.

Later, during another proceeding, I was told since I had not asked for a jury trial, I would need to Motion for it if in fact I wanted one. I didn't know what he was talking about. Weisberg sent me a notification of the upcoming jury trial with specific dates (before he withdrew.) Guess what? Yep, he never demanded a jury trial on the Complaint.

I told him I would be calling him to testify as to the statements he'd made when I got to trial. He threatened to sanction me if I did.

This is but a sample of the caliber of his work product and ethics. Weisberg, if you threaten me further, I will have additional proof of the kind of lawyer you really are.

Whoever indicated they were pursuing a malpractice case against him, please tell us how to contact you.
