But a secret from his past sullies Matthew's illustrious Military career, and his name as a good man. In 1990, Matthew Tate fathered a child. In two decades, Matthew has never payed child support to the mother.
Megan was born on May 9, 1991. Her mother raised her by working 2 jobs during the time she was pregnant, supporting her child and herself without any assistance from the father, until recently when he has weaseled his way back into the life of Megan and her mother, as a "friend" who may or may not do the occasional favor for Megan or her mother, and always feels he is owed "Respect" and "Gratitude" for his insignificant gestures of self-serving kindness. I myself have friends and family in branches of the Military, and have always been told that members of the military and their commanding officers take refusal to pay child support very seriously.
Matthew has continued to be peripherally involved in Megan's life. Typical of many deadbeat dads, Matthew makes promises to Megan he has no intention of keeping. He does the occasional favor to keep himself in good graces with the family (like minor repairs to Megan's 1996 Honda Accord, with over 300,000 miles on it.) Matthew promised to help Megan purchase a new car; even offered to buy her one outright, but just never seems to have enough money to fulfill his promises. Even simple things, like asking her father to put her on his cellphone plan, Matthew "just can't afford" the $100 fee to do.
However, Matthew has found the time and capital to launch his own "Alternative Fuel Development" company he claims is working with Dodge, collects pension from The Navy after 10 years of duty, and owns a Custom Truck shop called "Go Big Garage" in Lakewood, CA.
It is an issue of pride for the mother to refuse to follow up on this matter herself. After all, she raised her daughter, with little to no support from the father for two decades, and believes she is "protecting his family" by keeping silent. It is out of concern for Megan, her basic medical coverage, and her family that I am submitting this report. I do not mean to drag a good man's name through the mud, but I cannot idly stand by and watch a man who lectures others about the "Respect" he is owed, continue to use a mother and child he has refused to support for 20 years of his life.

I wanted to let those who read this in on some important facts regarding this statement. I am the person who was reported in this statement. the person who wrote this was dating my daughters mother at the time, and he was a very jealous person. everything he wrote, he did so out of hearsay, and had no facts to back up his statements. He did so without my permission, and also mentioned my daughters name without her permission.
I do not own a company called go big garage, I am not collecting any pension from the navy, I was injured while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and am currently on med hold, while seeking treatment for my injuries. I am on disability. I tried to start an alternative fuel company, but was unable to secure any capital. I was never an army officer. As for never paying child support, I have supported my child the best I could. I have never been court ordered to pay any child support, not have I ever been to any court regarding my daughter. I have always taken care of other things with the agreement of my daughters mother. We have all had a great understanding until this gentleman came into her life.
He was a very possessive person, and very jealous. My daughter even got mad when she found out about this posting. She never got along with him as well. Her mother even tried to get this removed, but the web site here never responds to any inquiry. He talks about a cell phone plan? I am currently listed on someone other than myselfs plan. He also states many lies, and non factual statements, more than likely the reason he and my ex are no longer together. My daughter has since gotten a newer car, of which I paid half, and did all the repairs to, insured it as well. Another reason I was not there for her very much, was multiple deployments overseas with the military. As for the insurance, my daughter was insured by me until she was 18, then because of her age and not currently in college, she was no longer eligible.
I sure with people would get the facts straight before they go posting just anything they want in order to manipulate the ones they are with for their own personal gain. I am able, and have always been able to support any of my claims. but where is his proof? How can a site like this allow anyone to write anything they want for their own personal agenda, and ask for $2,000.00 to fight it? sounds like a site that knows how to get money out of any slanderous statement. I do plan on seeking an attorney for him and this site for a cease and decease order for slander.
