Max Weiss Photography Max Weiss Scam artist photographer will take advantage of models San Diego California
If you're looking to work for hours under a photographer only to get absolutely nothing in exchange, this is your man. This photographer has very little experience in his field and charges absurd fees for the quality of work that he offers. But here's the best part. Even when you model for him and don't charge him a rate (a sort of TFP) he will label your photos in your portfolio as copyright infringement. Because according to Max Weiss, if he takes a photo of you, you are not allowed to use it. Ironic coming from a photographer who doesn't even watermark his work on his very own website. Why do trades with models? What's the point? To hold onto a collection of half naked women for your own personal use? With no intention of editing, publishing, or marketing your work? Sounds fishy to me.
If you're looking for professionalism, honesty, and quality work and you have a decent budget, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this photographer.

Max Weiss is incorrect in his knowledge of State Laws vs. Federal Laws. At this point this photographer has denied to take down photos from his website. This review was written in an effort to warn other women who choose to work with this "photographer". For anybody that would like more information, they can refer to his Yelp account for a better understanding. This situation had been passed onto my adviser, Mr. Deetman Bar #120511

I have been doing photography proffesionally for 4 years now and still going strong. Unfortunately, I still do run into amateur models that believe if they are in the photo they own the photo, which is actually incorrect. Under the US code title 17 chapter 2, the author (or creator) of the work has the copyright.
I told miss Caroline Mayou that she may only use the photos for a printed portfolio. When
I found out that she went behind my back and went on to post the photos online I asked her to remove them. She then became very argumentative and refused to take down the photos. She even at one point told me to "sue her".
My copyright lawyer advised me to file a DMCA report to get the photos taken down. I did file the report and the photos were taken down. And in retaliation miss Caroline Mayou posted this bad review.
