Complaint Review: maxfrag

maxfrag maxfrag.net Scammed out of 264.00 DOLLARS.. Thanks to Maxfrag.net, Internet

On the 15th of Oct 2009, I requested all services  to be canceled at the end of the billing cycle which would be Nov. 1, 2009.

Since that day my ventrilo server has been terminated and I do not have any access to the Support Area to create a support ticket.  My account including the control panel access has apparently been deleted,  (All because I wanted to cancel?)

I have tried numerous attempts to make telephone contact, email contact which have gone unanswered as well as messages left - it seems no one wants to give me the support as a paying customer.

In closing I have to admit I heard stories about this kind of thing happening with customers of maxfrag but decided to give them a try anyway. Don't ask me why..  Unfortunately the stories are true.   All you have to do is google maxfrag.net and you'll see.  So please don't make the mistake i did.  Stay away from these guys!

False Report - Unable to verify if poster is actually a customer

After reading this recent comment, I can surely say that this is false. First of all, if you had a PayPal subscription and you canceled the subscription, we would not be able to charge you and simply cancel your account. If payment for the transaction was taken today, and you disputed today, how can the dispute be closed already? I personally respond to every dispute and can tell you I haven't even logged into the PayPal resolution center.

The poster's second false statement claims we don't accept contact from non-customers. We have a contact form up at http://maxfrag.net/contact and anyone could fill that out. You can also call our number which is open from 8am to 4pm PST (Mon-Fri). Secondly, we never turn away an angry customer.

These types of false reviews are meant to damage a good companies reputation. Most of the problems on this site are simply due to misunderstandings that can easily be solved. I spoke to all of our staff members today, and we did not receive any contact from him.

I woke up this morning only to realize that MaxFrag charged me for an account that I already canceled. I filed a dispute on PayPal and maxfrag LIED to PayPal and said I was still a customer. I am filing a complaint online now with the BBB regarding them stealing my money. Where is the integrity today with these online service providers? I also tried to call them with NO luck and their system will not accept an email from me since I am not in their system??? The paying customers should have more rights and Maxfrag should not be allowed to just rip customers off. Maxfrag is a ripoff bottomline. buyers beware of maxfrag. I have also done some research and it seems they "resell" through a company called darkstarllc. i did some research and found that they already have a bad reputation of ripping off customers. You can check their BBB better business bureau rating here: http://www.bbb.org/central-illinois/business-reviews/internet-services/nobis-technology-group-llc-in-bloomington-il-90003793

beware of maxfrag and beware of darkstar. they seem to be the same people/scammers

Unable to verify customer

After thoroughly searching our database, we were enable to find a Timothy L, or a customer from Falls Mills, Virginia. This seems to be a false complaint in order to have a negative impact on our reputation. Most buyers are smart enough to realize that we cannot scam $264. If a customer did want to cancel and was paying with Credit Card, they would have to simply request a cancellation before he/she was billed. If he/she paid using Paypal, they could cancel anytime by simply logging into Paypal. If they felt scammed, all they would have to do is dispute to resolve the issue.

Also, we offer telephone 24/7 support, so the accusation of our support being unreachable is false. We offer Help Ticket support 24/7/365, Live Chat and also telephone support.

Our guess is that this is another company trying to destroy our reputation. We have had a number of reviews removed because a single company has been posting them. Luckily, our customers and future clients are smart and do research before believing a false review.
