Complaint Review: MAXLEND

Do not use MAXLEND Online Loan Company.

Beware -MAXLEND is an online loan company out to scam its customers by claiming ithey have explained the terms of their loans.  Their claims of honest explaination of their terms is open to intrepertation.    

They stand behind their claims the loans are explained.  However, they are very deceiving to most customers.  Especially to Senior Citizens who are susceptible to misleading explainations as presented to them.  

I have used online loan companies in the past and although expensive - it is helpful in certain circumstances.

However this time I believed I was scammed by a dishonest company and dishonest customer service agents.

I borrowed $500 and it cost me almost $2000.  

They (customer service) said I had taken out a 6 month loan.  They were elusive about the opportunity to pay off the loan early.  In fact, it was only when I threatened to go to my bank, explain the circumstances and close my accounnt they suddenly had an alternative way for me to rid myself of them - which of course was to pay it off early !!. After relieving me of $2000 and the loan coming up on 6 months, this was most likely in their best interests !!

I bellieve their customer service are given some type of commision or bonus if they can keep the loan open the fulll 6 months by avoiding full disclosure and collecting the most money possible.  

If I had not been ill during this time frame I would have gone to my bank for assistance.  Unfortunatley all I could do was call and try to get some assistance.

It is my belief they prey on Senior Citizens as stated above, I have used many types of these loans during my lifetime and this is the first time I have been taken advantage of in this way.  

Please advise people to NOT use this company !  There are others out there much more honest if you find yourself in the position of having no choice but to borrow this way.
