I received the same letter about stuffing envelopes as a home business ($2.00/per envelope) on November 1, 2005. I immediately went to the Internet and, thank goodness, found the ripoffreport.com site. This site and the people who took the time to write in about their losses saved me $20.00.

The letter was signed by JoAnn Kutner, President, and the letterhead was Mayflower Publishing, Direct Marketing Dept., 1223 Wilshire Blvd., No. 814, Santa Monica, CA 90403; what I was suspicious about was why the return label on the envelope was John Flores, 1951 Central Florida Pkwy #114, Orlando FL 32837. Also, page one of the two page letter was a pure white color, as the second page seemed older and was a darder white. It looked like someone had changed the first page. Is this John Flores part of the scam or is he being duped?

The U.S. postage stamp was also cancelled by the Post Office (with the curvy lines running through the stamp). If this had been a company sending this envelope, I do not think that the Post Office would have cancelled this stamp in this manner. Most companies have bulk mailing, and the postage is different and the cancellation is different.

I hope that my input helps to shut this fraud/scam down.
